So the author wants WoW to be Oblivion? That's the day I quit and never, ever consider returning.
I don't mind more interactivity, but I couldn't stand Oblivion.
I know seriously, WTF Edge? Kingdom Hearts DS is nothing compared to the PS2 games... but a 5/10? And New Super Mario Bros a 7/10?
I guess some reviewers never change.
I agree, the double standards here are quite sickening. However, these are different editors and different editors have different opinions. It isn't the site as a whole that is saying that a game should be docked for "unoriginality", but this specific editor.
It really doesn't matter though, as any educated gamer will use the actual review to determine whether it's worth his/her $60, not the score.
No More Heroes 2, Galaxy 2, and Other M are first day buys. The rest I'm not sure about. The 2 games from High Voltage definitely look interesting though.
I know I'm going to get blasted for this, but I can understand where they are coming from. As a PS2-era Ratchet fan, I played the all 4 of the games they released to completion (Except the first, likely because I had already played the superior second). Soon later, I picked up Size Matters for the PSP and completed it.
Then came Future. Future, is by NO MEANS a bad game. In fact, it was the best R&C at the time. But after playing the numerous games before it, I couldn't ...
If the choice is available, why would you not get the superior version? That'd be like if I got Batman on the 360 even though I own a PS3. The PS3 version will always have the maps that the 360 won't get.
Before I get carried away, let's not forget there is a heavily rumored Wii product that has yet to be official announced...
Wii Bike!

Zelda was slated to be announced at E3 2010, but I suppose they could have moved it forward. He could have been able to say that because whatever studio that is making the game they are announcing is ready to move into development without him.
It's possible I guess, but Nintendo Everything doesn't need hits, it gets enough as is. Let's add this fact in: Have you seen the scans from this week's Famitsu? No, they don't exist yet. Whether or not it was held because of the announcement is unclear though.
Not too sure about a fail magazine, but I agree that Final Fantasy XII didn't deserve the perfect score. It was an incredibly dull game.
Nintendogs I haven't played so I can't comment.
I hope the American box has this color, it looks pretty awesome.
No, Abash, you are pathetic.
You're a sad, sad, little fanboy.
Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3 were all made by Rare and are on the VC.
I agree that PS3 is the best value, however this site seems to throw in a lot of extra numbers for the Wii and 360 but give the PS3 a free pass.
For starters, you can't walk out of a store with a fully-functioning PS3 for $310 (System plus cables). Why? The Slim doesn't come with a game. So the PS3 should be sitting at $340-370. Still not bad though.
On to the others. You don't need Motionplus for the Wii, only a handful of games support it. So there is -$40. ...
You know, I think saying to calm down just once would have been enough. You don't have to say it 3 times.
I wouldn't bother trying to talk to him, the only language he understands is fanboy.
This shooter / open-world RPG generation has burned me out. A classic platformer or adventure game (Without guns) would be nice right about now.
Hopefully NSMB Wii will fill one of those gaps, and maybe Demon's Souls in the other.
WoW being crushed by a relatively unknown game that has only been available for a week?
Keep dreaming.
P.S.: Were you also one of the ones that thought Vanguard, Guild Wars, Age of Conan, or Warhammer was going to crush WoW? It wouldn't surprise me.
This is just a small statement from the full interview, which should have been posted here instead.
