I have seen more Sony guys flip out over review scores than there 360 counterparts. Especially on the exclusives. I own a laucnh 60gb ps3 but I do not want to ever be lumped in with many of these n4g ps3 guys.
First the article is about previous gen consoles. That is why the 360 is not mentioned.

You clearly are not aware that Sony had major issues with the launch era ps2's. They were named in a class action lawsuit in 2003 and DID NOT settle it until 2005. You are lucky that you were not one of the majority that had issues with the disk read error.

I agree. I am too cheap to replace my 4 and 6 year old pc's. They workd fine for email and web surfing. So I have to eek by on a 360 and ps3. Soon to be eeking by on some of those wii gems.
Yeah the lauch era ps2 were junk. As fas as the Saturn and Dreamcase go I have both, no regrets. What can I say? I like owning all of the consoles.
I think what he is implying is unconditional brand loyalty. We are conditionally loyal to our brands. Most people will not have the same set of 'conditions' for said loyalty. Now go have some cereal.
Yeah, Sony had to actually have their hand forced to fix the disk read errors. That was in 2003. In fact, Sony did not even honor the DRE UNTIL the lawsuit was settled. I did not buy a launch ps2. Oddly enough, the original xbox felt like quality and the ps2 felt like junk.
So people from 2001-2005 had to deal with the cost of repairing DRE on their own dime, and Sony denied the whole issue saying 'clean your disks'.

I will readily admit that buying a ps3 and a 360 was much cheaper than buying a nice gaming pc. I dont really care what these articles say, I prefer the 360 for the controller and XBL.
Sorry man, Rainbow six 1 and 2 still has plenty of servers going. I was pretty surprised too that both games were still going strong. Which is awesome for the Platinum hits buyers.
The first Rainbow Six Vegas on the 360 scored 88 with Metacritic. That is the same score as Uncharted got. Check for yourself.

Sure we can access that stuff on the ps3 web browser. MS will have it integrated in XBL. Much like Netflix is integrated into XBL. XBL has the benefit of being very, very easy and consumer friendly to use. What else would you expect from a software company? When I found out the extra steps to watch Netflix on my ps3 vs. how easy it was on XBL I chose XBL and went and bought an Arcade 360. (btw I can play all games without the HDD and have plenty of room for saves)
