It seems to be something missing here….. everyone blaming MS and Sony for timed exclusives and DLC , when really the common factor in all of this is Activision.
Had it occurred that Activision came to the other parties offering them exclusives for cash , Activison have a product to sell and they sold it to the highest bidder.

I think all the Companies have done little things that have shown they car about gamers.

I honestly believe Sony will slowly remove the themselves from the Vita as it currently is. They have positioned themselves perfectly to use all of the supply of Vita components in the Vita TV. No one wants another Indie gaming hand held the market is full to the brink with them. Having Borderlands was a great showcase , but unless the developers release the game on the Vita and PS4 at the same time and install off the same disc it will never work.

As for your business model , the Best would be a High end PC with a controller attached, sorry to burst your PS4 is the best bubble.
The guys that play in these leagues don't care about the console, they care about playing the game and winning. Xbox has been behind the league for a long time , and helped grow it to what it is today , logic dictates that you continue the business model if its working.
Sony aren't interested in this kind of thing. At least with MS backing the league will continue and hopefully grow. I don't think Sony are in the financial position to fund it anyway.
I still can't help but think its going to cut into PS4 sales. A PS4 in the lounge and a PS4 in little jimmy's room will be replaced by a PS4 in the lounge and a PSTV for little jimmy.
Also It really is a brilliant way of recouping the R&D they put in to the Vita by using the same parts and rebranding it.
No movies , just new games. When will we learn Games don't translate in to movies very well.

Like the idea of this being a darker story too. Not sure about this episodic release strategy though ,great way to drip feed content but could end up costing much more than traditional DLC did in the long run.

because it already was a 10 for graphics and lost score for other reasons..
I think if they fleshed out the cut scenes and added a more engaging game type during campaign levels , the game will be fantastic. 152 hrs GEN 10 and still playing, i don't need a 10 hour campaign as well.
They kind of have to talk about this stuff, they are a giant software company after all. Its like part of their core business that effects more than consoles.

these are the prices they want you to pay, to make the service financially viable. I would say , if they shifted too much they would be close to losing money.
The Vita is a flop Sony knows it and no matter how you try and spin it , the Vita will never match the success of the PSP. Even the PS4 could not sell the Vita.
I think they are using the Vita parts for the PsTV. The company has tight financial reigns on them at the moment and they are doing the smart thing and refocusing the parts into something that looks like it has potential sales.
