EA talking about anything game related - horrifies me. When they say something looks great, I just imagine them referencing how the loot boxes fit into the entire spectrum of the game's overall DNA and how excited it makes their empty hearts.
Septic, stop whining. It's embarrassing to see anyone get upset and stoop to the level of using friend insults.

The system is designed (a tad annoyingly) so that for story missions the player(s) has to view the cutscene first. Then you use an SOS. Once you've done that it's as easy as it comes.
I don't see how one little feature is the end of the world? Perhaps they can change the mandatory cutscene aspect? Really n...
I'd like a game looking into the actual events that we lean about in the audio recordings (would be cool to see things going down). That said, I'm more intrigued to see where Aloy's journey goes next,
Go stroke your Xbox and feel happy you're elite.
I wasn't aware the translation had been that bad, that said I'm still looking forward to picking this up, when my time/wallet allows the plunge.
1. I retract labelling your opinion stupid. Though I do still think the comparison is silly and a big stretch.
Where I think the answer lies is within the overall taste/shift in the gaming culture (Dark Souls is hardcore/difficult but that's about all it shares in similarity with Monster Hunter). There is a fix people have towards collecting gear as well (this is in multiple genres - so Dark Souls doesn't get the credit). Dark Souls has certainly shaped other games ...
I'm sorry, but this is categorically - stupid. Dark Souls is not the reason why Monster Hunter is selling well. What I might give you is that Dark Souls could be enjoyed by those who play Monster Hunter and vice versa. However, the level of thought/time/dedication one puts into each IP does not liken to one being the cause for the other's success.
CorndogBurglar's post (above) accurately gives a brief reasoning as to why Monster Hunter World is doing so well now...
Upon my return I've discovered that instead of finding comments on the gameplay, all I see is my response to the bot, the dude after me commenting on my response to the bot, and the dude that came after the first dude commenting on how he commented on my response to the bot.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Part of the fun is discovering the armor sets on your own (but I did take a quick peak). Rest assured anyone who doesn't want to spoil the visual aesthetic reveal, there's a lot to unlock.
Anyone else notice these bots gradually keep increasing how much we can make in a period of time?
I'm itching for that million dollars in a day!
"It will be difficult for most players to not feel at least some level of empathy for these creatures, because they're that well realised."
I feel no empathy towards the fictional creatures in a video game. I suppose I've mastered the art of not being like "most players." Note: In real life, I do dislike needless slaughter/hunting/killing.
While I see where you're trying to come from with your overall point in your written ...
Yeah *eye roll*, we're "haters" just because.
Ultimately yes, nothing is obligatory. It's the level/depth of how intrusive the added content is that shapes the level of backlash. If Monster Hunter was designed so that hunters needed to pay (or thus grind for 100 hours for one small thing) to purchase loot boxes that may have materials to upgrade their armour - I'd have a serious issue with it. That's BF2.
D2's story isn't irrelevant in the context that its story is part of the package. If the story ...
Dodged a bullet there.
Harsh but true.
(I personally enjoyed MEA but on a technical standpoint, even from a narrative one, it pales in comparison to its predecessors. Nice scenery though).
If you can't see the difference between what MHW offers and what BF2 does, you've got a lot of research to catch up on (I don't mean that in a rude way). Destiny 2 is its own problem.
It's a large issue and not one I can quickly summarize while also addressing every single point (which add up and show the sheer difference).
Basically:
-
BF2 Is a game about using hero's you love, designed to only be obtainable (initia...
But a fake/hacked account.
Priceless.
lol. I meant like being able to obtain them over the course of the game with in game currency.
I don't particular mind this since they plan to release free updates (monsters) down the road. If they are going to do everything else right, then by all means - charge for the occasional gesture (just not every gesture).
Any word on if these are unlockable in game?
Well this was a nice surprise.
