This is essentially how games used to function. In game currency easily obtained (with time spent) to be put towards unlockables. No drama. No anti-consumer practice. Just good gaming.
That said, I'm holding off until the complete edition.
I've got my eyes on both, but in the nature of gaming I'm holding off on both (too many games / and I like to see a full cast of characters rather than the potential of - insert name - being added).
I see that Project Phoenix is on the list but from the sounds of it, that game's production is as solid as a ghost.

As a Canadian, I'm finding it hard to justify $25, when there's still the added question of those episodes being added this year and if that'll be another cost factor (Season Pass 2).
I love Final Fantasy, but this $19.99 ($25) fee is a bit of a joke for those who've been here since the beginning.

No. Real life is vastly different. How we react when we are in the midst of danger is nothing like the way we are when we're enjoying a video game that holds no consequences on us as an individual. What desensitizes us (if something were) is prolonged exposure of bad things happening being seen in person (real life) or told through the news.
