Personally, I loved the game and how the cauldrons had lots of lore/story while the open area felt like a real trial of growth and learning to conquer. That said there's certainly aspects they can add onto, or improve (fighting humans never felt right). Exploring the story more (they certainly end it on a cliffhanger - which I like) while introducing more machines, different kinds of quests, perhaps a sidekick?

The chains (the ring) in this context are no different than keeping a damsel in distress within a tower, or a castle, or a room. In these instances, the damsel in distress is being kept somewhere beyond their own free will. It's your mind that's connecting the chains (the ring) to more R rated frames of thought.

Honestly, I don't care what IP it is. Anything that's associated with EA I'm not touching. Sorry, just can't do it anymore. All the studios (those that still exist) won't see a dime from me. It's beyond clear that they (EA) have zero care or passion for actual gaming. It's strictly profit, and they will tarnish, morph, and destroy any studio or IP that doesn't adhere to their view.

You need a certain level of overall competence while playing a game. You don't need to be pro, but you certainly shouldn't suck, or label the ability to handle complexity/skill as unnecessary qualities in reviewing.
