Unfortunately I've seen it happen personally.
Now they'll need a patch to fix a patch...wait, is Infinity Ward Blizzard in disguise? ;)
Living in the past? Just last year we were still seeing PS2 titles better than anything on the PS3. Persona 4 anyone? Don't knock stuff just because you personally don't care for it, it makes you look ignorant.
Backwards compatibility is just something that would make people's lives easier, and some that I see no reason to have discontinued. I still play PS2 games allthe time because most tf them are better than the majority o current generation games. I don't see why Sony is making it harder for people to still enjoy those.
Yeah, most likely. It doesn't help that people like me are considering buying both the PS3 and 360 version. ;) I'll play it first on the PS3 though, for old time's sake!
Heavy Rain will be interesting. I'm not sure what I'd call it at this point, possibly a cinematic adventure game? *shrug* I'm not ready to label it as an RPG, haven't seen enough of it.
Indeed it is! It's one of my favorite 360 RPGs and I might just play it again when it comes to PS3. It'll be on an upcoming article about cross-platform RPGs and ports/re-releases. :)
My PS3 collection will grow exponentially next year - I will likely buy all of these except the MMOs...
Not a big fan of the stealth action genre myself, although I did play MGS4.
If you're a fan of the stealth action genre, you'll likely enjoy conviction, even if MGS4 was your favorite. There is room for more than one major franchise in the genre, after all. It's kind o like comparing other MMOs to WoW - of course they aren't going to match WoW's sales or subscription numbers, but tha doesn't mean they're bad games.
I agree, to an extent. Games like Starcraft 2 never had a release date, they have a release time frame, which is never solid, especially coming from Blizzard. If a game never has a solid release date, the developers can't really be faulted for breaking it and pushing the game back because nothing was confirmed in the first place. That being said, it is still annoying from a gamer's perspective, especially when it's a title you're looking forward to.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of hate for the score, but I didn't "get" the game either, and I played it a while ago on the 360.
I've never played a wrestling game in my life. =/
Me too, but there's still a part of me that wishes the sequel would be on the PS3 once more, which is where the article came from! ;)
Where does the article suggest that? Metal Gear Solid isn't an RPG franchise and it mentions that along with everything else. The article was focusing on Valkyria Chronicles, and just mentioned the others to give more examples and solidify the point.
This game is on my "looks interesting but not sure if I'd like it enough to pre-order" list. ;)
Good list, and I definitely agree with #1! I remember my mom taking me to go see tha SMB movie when it first came out, too.
So many tower defense games...I'm not a big fan of that genre. Although, this sounds like a game someone who is might look to check out.
"2 had a fair amount of scenes, songs , objects and jokes that you can't understand if you haven't played the first ... and everything points that the 3rd game won't be any different .."
While I haven't played the 2nd one, the reference to it came from just what I've heard and read. The same can be said of Final Fantasy games, too, there are scenes, objects, spells, jokes, etc. that you wouldn't get if it was your first ever FF title, but that still doesn't mean that t...
It would probably be a rental for me if I didn't get a review copy. It was pretty fun, although I can't say I'd play through it again.
