Yeah I agree with you, I love my Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong but I'd love to see some of their other franchises become as popular as those. Especially games like Monolith's "X". That game just looks plain incredible.

Next week is gonna be great. We have a fantastic E3 coming up with Sony and Microsoft bringing new consoles and games and Nintendo finally showing off some new Wii U games. And to top it all off I get to enjoy this brilliant looking game on Friday. Man what a great time to be a gamer.
No offense man but I don't think I'd want someone with a FFXIII avatar to be the voice of what "us gamers" want.
Actually it's Best Buy that's having Nintendo's E3 games. Also from the rumors I've heard going around, this is the work of Nintendo themselves. Perhaps they're planning to discontinue this unit and drop the price of the deluxe unit.

Oh god how I'd love to see Retro's new game. And to have a Naughty Dog game reveal just days before I get to play The Last of Us, I'd be one happy gamer. Also hope to see The Last Guardian there.

That was incredible! Love the transition from live action to game footage. Can't wait for this.
From this list I enjoyed Fire Emblem, Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider. Luigi's Mansion arrives in the mail this Saturday and I'll get Monster Hunter when I get my Wii U later this year, or perhaps I'll pick up the 3DS version.
Can't wait to see what all companies bring to the table. Let's be real here, it doesn't matter who "wins" E3. Once all of the companies do their best and put all a hell of a show, we "the gamers", are the winners.

If anyone plans on playing Virtue's Last Reward I highly recommend you play 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors on the DS first. It's not absolutely necessary but it will definitely enhance your experience when playing VLR.
Lol! Sorry man, but that whole "the press will ignore Nintendo" thing isn't realistic, it's just wishful thinking on your part. The press' job is to inform people about all of the announcements being made at E3 and yes that includes Nintendo. You seriously think people will ignore something like a new Smash Bros announcement?
