Wait, your copy of Dark Souls included a physical CD and DVD along with your game? The hell man, the US release has everything but the art book and actual game as download-only. That's interesting...

It's not that so much as not being able to change my class, gadgets, or weapon attachments until I'm about to spawn again. It's such a waste of precious seconds that's instead spent looking at a sniper's face.

Uh...Demon's Souls has an infinite duplication glitch that still isn't patched. For that, the only advantage is being able to beat your own world faster, since you can't invade the worlds of players too low or high a level compared to you.

Dark Souls is similar, only this glitch will allow, say, the use of infinite magic. It'll get patched right-quick though.

Xbox members don't have to pay for party chat. While they probably do have Gold memberships, a Silver membership is sufficient.

The main counter-argument that I've seen is this: While giving the players a range of choices is good, giving them free reign from the start ends up not being as fun. Sure, many players in many games want to have God Mode from the start, but it arguably makes the game far less fun than to play the game as the developer intended. Making it so you have to beat the game a time or two before getting god mode seems a much more fun-maximazing path.

Hey, is there any way to remove those junk reviews for some other game on that section of reviews for Dark Souls? It says that the average for this game is a 7.-something when it should be 9/10 with the two reviews up right now..

Yes, the developer back at E3 said that some compression would be required and thus a small amount of quality would be lost for the 360 version.

Apparently, something changed since E3, since it is no longer the case.

I'm getting the 360 version, and most of my friends will be purchasing it, about half of them for each console. Feels good to be able to play this on my own console and also with friends =D

This is a repost from last week, just thought y'all should know.

The blue tint bug can be fixed most of the time by just pausing and unpausing.

The others...yeah, they're pretty rough.

The first patch was to fix the problems that mostly occurred because of the online elements, which is a bit hard to test for extensively ahead of tie. This second patch is to fix the problems caused by the first patch, which is again hard to test for and, if they were to wait to release it, would cause a bit of an outrage considering the first problems were quite extreme (freezing your game constantly) and the second could take a long time to discover, especially given a game of this size. It...

How about some sort of item that tells you when an Enderman has moved a block, or goggles that highlight these blocks?

I feel that, by taking on a lawsuit that Bethesda KNOWS it will lose, they're damning themselves to failure the next time someone has a similar game-sharing-ish title. My opinion runs the exact opposite of the article's, of course, but a defendant could just say, "Hey! You lose to the Scrolls case, mine's the same thing!"

I salute him for his intelligence and perseverance. It's not that I support hacking (I would never hack my gaming devices, and detest people that pirate games), but I do support people looking to break "The Man's" things from the outside just to show that they can, or that they'll never be smarter than the common man in the long run.

It's a power struggle that will never be solved, so why put so much negativity towards him? Even if he and few other h...

The goal is just to be as good of a cracker as he can be.

I know that if I was handed a math problem that I knew was only a small amount above my current level, I'd have trouble resting until I figured out how to solve it. Similarly with any type of puzzle or logic game.

This is his equivalent, and it certainly is "fun" in an odd sense. It's satisfactory.

If possible, I'd say beat Demon's Souls first. Better be quick though, less than a week left until launch!

Going from what I've seen online, you should be good to jump into Dark Souls too. It's different, but not *too* different, meaning you'll feel like you're playing an alternate version of Demon's Souls rather than a "more-developed" one, and it won't spoil Demon's Souls fun.

I'm a 360 gamer, and I OWN Demon's Souls, despite not even having the console to play it. (It's mainly for when I visit friends, many of whom have PS3s themselves).

Being writers for a 360 magazine, they know their audience far better than the average person. If they recommend the challenge for hardcore players, I think that's a good sign, not one that should be made fun of.

It doesn't look bad at all on the 360, save for a few small things that may have been left out of the beta for space-saving reasons. For example, fire extinguishers look pretty old in comparison to the oh-so-shiny, oh-so-perfect-looking marble walls in the subway tunnels.

This game won't bomb. I'm even willing to bet you on it. If I win, you have to promise to never troll an internet forum again.

I'm a 360 gamer, and I think the Gears series sucks. Why any 360 owner WOULDN'T buy BF3 is beyond me.

Eh, I just feel like he has more of a story, at least in a bunch of the cutscenes near the culminations of each game, that show a bit more character than the average game. Sure, revenge and hate are at the base of it all, but there's some more underneath that, at least in my perspective.
