As an owner of the PC version, who can max it out without even breaking a slight sweat, I have to disagree. Her face looks more updated, as they said it would be, and the environments, particularly the foliage, has seen a bit of an overhaul. The PC version is still based on last gen assets.
I'm going to pick this up on PS4 and compare (really enjoyed the original - so why not).
It looks nothing like The Last Of Us - in tone or content. I can understand your enthusiasm, but no, not quite.
OT: I was actually quite impressed with the look of this title! Just need a release date!
Good, dude, then we shouldn't see you (or the known hater of anything Naughty Dog) in any Uncharted related topics.
OT: I'm sure there will be at least one new reveal, but Geoff does often get the hype train rollin'.
Not a surprise. I'm thinking this is how it will ALWAYS be, this gen.
False. Ridge Racer 7 was full 1920x1080, and I'm sure if I dig deep enough, I can find another.
I have Battlefield, Ghosts, and Killzone all on PS4. I have found more people playing the latter. So let's not write something off as "typical" (although it is typical to call someone a Sony fanboy for discussing a game in a positive light while you do something different). But hey, whatever floats your narrow-minded boat.
@ Crustified: Show me a figure proving that numerical discrepancy. The real "shame" is from people that claim to know something about a game they don't play.
I agree that inFAMOUS is good for Sucker Punch, but I don't get how you pedestal it and slight Killzone when the latter is the bigger franchise.
@ Curtis: How, exactly? Killzone is the bigger seller. inFAMOUS also hasn't been tested across three generations.
It generally gets "hate" from very partisan people. Others, with open minds, have either tried it and found out it wasn't for them, bought it and love it, or tried it and loved it. The rest are like Lovable above - talk trash and probably haven't played it to begin with.
Thankfully, Killzone's campaign isn't just 6 hrs - so there's that. Also, as many, if not more, people are online playing it (a little research would provide you such info) over either Battlefield or Call of Duty on the PS4.
We can talk about fillers/faults/complaints when Killzone: ShadowFall fails the sales charts. As of right now, it did exactly what it set out to do and could, potentially, be the biggest release the series has ever seen.
@ Lov...
You haven't a clue of what you're talking about. Just stop.
OT: The GameStop in my area has a few X1s. Really, it's a no-brainer that the cheaper product is sold out, but in this case, the PS4 is the more desired product for more than just that.
Well good, since I'm not a "PS fanboy", my comments are quite relevant. Seems to me like you know your argument is flimsy, hence resorting to personal attacks.
In the same, ironic, breath, while you're aiming to "call out" partisan behavior, you stand by this notion that Epic's next title will be an Xbox exclusive. There's just nothing to realistically base that on.
It is wishful hoping at best.
Again with the nonsense. It's like you look forward to wasting your only bubble to not speak any truth at all. It's so comical, it's a crime.
OT: From the way I gather it, most of the world prefers the PS4.
Business tells me that this, if it's even a game, will be multiplatform.
Also, that Witcher 3 article is irrelevant.
Hmmm...why would they create an X1 exclusive? In fact, why would they create an exclusive at all? I doubt this is more than a showcase, either way, but if it is a game, it will be multiplatform. 100%.
@ Icicle: Never argued against competition, nor whether or not the system(s) were bad/good. Thus, that is irrelevant.
Now , on the topic, let's remember WHERE the PS3 caught up - in regions where Sony is strongest (they never caught back up in America). This time, even if they lose that region, they are starting, at the same time, in their best region, right beside MS. Unless something drastic happens, no, I don't expect the gap to shrink.
Thus, you ...
Much sense made here!
It's already 2:1 now. That gap isn't going to suddenly shrink. If it is even close in the US, it will be an, overall, bloodbath with the PS4 FAR ahead! As of now, though, the PS4 is ahead EVERYWHERE!
What's an "average $20 game"? Spoken like a person who A. Hasn't played it or B. Hasn't completed it.
@ Joe: I said nothing of whether it will be as good or not (in fact, I never gave a direct opinion of Quantum Break). I'm saying, based on the mentioned statement, the two have little to nothing in common.
It also gets to be a little ironic that you selectively read my post, completely missing my obvious interest in the game, and instead, choosing to make of the post what you wanted.
