As a PC gamer myself, you are one of the most condescending people I've seen here. It's because of that attitude that many of us are seen as "smug", "elitist" or what have you. Let his opinion ride, even if you don't agree. Never mind that he said nothing of Killzone being the "best looking game ever".
I tend to disagree anytime I hear this. Having played both, Ryse has better, more developed character models, but not much else. The environments are worlds better in ShadowFall and this doesn't even begin to touch on the fact that Killzone is 1080p with MUCH more going on. Digital Foundry said it best, both have their strengths, but Killzone edges out the technical win.
As a PC gamer able to max any game out without breaking even a slight sweat, Killzone was the only gam...
Nope, no horrible registry. Any quick Google search would garner you similar responses.
OT: hellvaguy: I agree, SLI is a culprit in many instances, but as I said above, it wasn't just SLI rigs with issues in those cases. Many 670/680 owners had issues, especially with Far Cry 3, too.
Edit: Nevermind, I did the work for you, ATiElite:

Far Cry 3 ran great Day 1? No way! It had a lot of issues (and this is coming from someone that had a 690 at the time). Frame-rate problems plagued the game so bad in the beginning. Tomb Raider also had stuttering issues and crashes, prompting an update a day or two after the title released. Ghosts ran great for me, but there were MANY people with problems Day 1. In fact, most of those games you mentioned are bad examples of optimized PC games.
I'm trying to understand your math. The PS4 is the fastest selling console, at launch, and has the higher tally to date. Your view doesn't make sense.
I highly doubt Titanfall takes over anything. Not to say it will be a bad game, but not THAT caliber of a title.
The 720p, 900p, and 1080p games ALL have bugs. That is, the X1 version, PS4 version, and PC version. I've played all three and have witnessed game breaking issues across the board.
Quit being a sour grape. He said nothing wrong at all.
OT: Yoshida is just what the industry needs - respectable man that welcomes all competition.
It's either for PS3 or PS4. It's Sony-owned.
@ redwin: I think you meant "DRM". Show me anything tangible that Sony shared the same idea(s) as Microsoft and we can continue further. Otherwise, you're blowing hot air - something I didn't do.
Also, plenty of "non-fanboys" either both them both, bought just one, or bought neither. You buying both means nothing.
That's because not every "fanboy" is as partisan as some choose to believe.
Of course people should be grateful for competition, but next time, Microsoft should be grateful to the people that offered them a chance to even BE competition! No matter how much money you think you can make, consumers feeling screwed will eventually look elsewhere and that is one of the reasons why the PS4 is riding a tidal wave of positive chatter, much unlike its predecessor's e...
BUT, right now, nothing suggests that the X1 will catch up at all, which is why I don't get your hastily assembled assumption (outside of partisanship, of course).
Of course you prefer Remedy, but if they were making PlayStation games, you wouldn't have that same sentiment. Predictable behavior is predictable.
OT: I don't agree that Beyond was the "wrong game", but I DO think we should see a KARA variant on PS4.
There's a slim chance the X1 wins in NA, but if you think it happened it November, you will be sorely mistaken. But, I'm sure you know that, you just don't want to face it, given your history.
OT: Captain Obvious is not amused.
You wouldn't know of a mess on PS4. That would require you to own one.
OT: Over time, like the PS4, the X1 will continue to improve, I'm sure. I just need something a bit more compelling to buy one (Quantum Break and/or a new Gears of War, exclusively, would fit the bill).
@ rainslacker: The veil over the PS3, after the MASSIVE success of the PS2, wasn't enough to sway the pendulum back in Sony's favor in the 7th generation. Customers are a fickle bunch, especially American consumers. I think the damage has been done to winning the US territory for MS, but they'll be competitive, which is all they can ask for, at this juncture.
Interesting how you have a completely difference stance in the Xbox One Australia topic. That amount is no where close to this one, yet THIS one is minor? OK.
OT: I think Sony will remain ahead in the US, this gen. They just have the better buzzwords and pricing strategy.
The story takes away the quality of the multiplayer? LOL. Now I've seen/read it all.
OT: I'd prefer a story segment. The reason I have little interest in Titanfall is simply that, lack of a proper story element. I mean sure, if that's not part of the dev's original vision, then keep it mulit-only. However, from the sounds of it, they're dabbling with the idea, so if you include one, go all out.
And you still have 4 bubbles? How?
OT: Absolutely genius!
Double post.
