@towelie1288
You really like to talk about dildo's and shoving things places....
Is this some kind of viral marketing?
You cannot move around in 3D space with the Kinect (beyond a ~4x4 foot space, or whatever). That is it's major limitation and why I do not personally think it is better than Move.
Your movement is extremely limited and you can't go anywhere without being on guided on rails. That is a huge limitation, imo, and why Kinect will be casual for 95% of it's games.
What Kinect needs for core games is 2 Wii-mote attachment type devices (wireless) that the ...
This is why OnLive/cloud gaming will never usurp consoles/PCs:

Seriously, this is under Articles>Opinions...
Why the hell is everyone posting "I don't care". If you don't care, then GTFO. It's like you people weren't expecting EXACTLY what the title and category tell you this is about.
If you only want to read IGN and Kotaku, you can enter those dam links into your address bar and skip the idiotic comments.
I assume the figure is so low because the US does not have 100% broadband coverage.
I can assure you that dial up still exists.
There is only 2 options in my area - dial-up or satellite, and they will throttle the hell out of you with satellite (f*#$ing Hughes Net). Satellite is also worthless for any gaming (you'd probably get like 12 minutes of playtime anyway...), not that dialup is any better, just a lot cheaper.
Gears was not the first 3rd person cover system shooter.
I know you said "popularized" but that means absolutely nothing. It shouldn't get credit for something just because it had a big budget and a huge marketing campaign.
For some reason a lot of people compare Gears and Uncharted as if Gears invented the gameplay, which it didn't.
@Ja555on
I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but most console games have a bit of aim assist added to even things out. I usually turn it off anyway, but it is on by default. I'm sure the console version of CS might have that option, but gamepad users will never be able to check corners as fast, or turn around to return fire as fast as PC users.
I hope cross platform is an option in the game.
CS is also 1 death per round, so I don't know why you'd want to wait for 30 people to die before you respawn...
@Dlacy13g
I can appreciate XBL and totally admit that PSN would not exist if XBL didn't. I just think that the benefits of XBL over PSN is quickly shrinking into nothing. There is already the price of XBL, which is ridiculous no matter how low people calculate it to be per month. It should be free, and probably will be next gen unless they can get some service that would actually be worth paying for, or PSN starts charging. It is basically a reversal of what you said abou...
I do not understand how owning more consoles makes you more of a core gamer.
How many games am I actually missing by not owning an xbox? 6 maybe, plus a few sequels to those main IP's. I personally do not see why I should buy another console for a couple extra games that I would want to play each year.
I guess if that gives you a higher ranking in the pretend core gamer hierarchy more power to you. In my opinion paying more money for stuff only make you ...
I think it has less to do with hardware and more to do with the fact that Splinter Cell is not made by a first party studio, so the people that brought it to PS3 probably don't care if the 3D performs well.
It is a small market after all.
@beavis
I definitely would only gameshare with genuine friends, not people on your friends list. That way you can find and punch that person in the face if they go on a spending spree with your CC.
Of course you should be game sharing, not game taking like Chocoboh who apparently doesn't chip in...

New games that are 3+ months old are not hard to find. Amazon carries almost all of them, and I'm sure any other online retailer does too.
You could just pre-order (even by just a couple of days) to get credits and save those up to "buy" other games. You could also game trade on sites like gametz.com which costs nothing.
You are only ripping yourself off by buying pre-owned. Their discount card is just a marketing ...
@radphil
Games are more expensive to make now. The better a game looks and the bigger it is, the more people need to be working on it. Companies can barely stay above water sometimes. That's why you hear about 60% of a developer's staff getting cut as soon as a game is released.
People who buy used games are not helping developers recoup their costs. They are usually just overpaying a company like Gamestop for nothing. If you don't want to pay fu...
Technically it is genocide, but they were done building our railroads anyway.
Neither have I, but I am really hoping N4G has an insta-ban policy for morons like this.
...and puts Gamestop out of business.
I'm all for paying the actual developers and not some slimy middle man. The online pass will at least give developers some of the money they deserve for creating the product.
I think they should give people a one day trial though. That way they could potentially get people renting or trading to purchase it.
As long as the amount isn't ridiculous (hopefully between $5-$10) then it should be okay....
I used gametz for maybe 3 trades. I think it is much better because it is free, and you can negotiate trades.
I'm pretty sure Goozex charges. Then again I guess there is security in that.
@MachoMoustachio
You are being prejudiced. You formed an unfavorable opinion of 2 groups of people because you read a few comments and now think that everyone who favors either of the other consoles shares all the same opinions.
You are being the fanboy, and I do not even own the other two consoles. You have no evidence to back up your claims. Comparing 2 different exclusive games is not evidence. The fact that Halo and Gears sell a lot does not mean that 36...
@grifter024
Why do you need a new racing game every 2 years?
It's mostly the same tracks with a few new cars. They could just release DLC and free updates.
I'm just saying that more does not automatically mean better. You could just be paying $60 dollars every other year for what is basically the same game, just because it is new.
