I know it is a touchy example since part 6 is coming out soon but Resident Evil 4 is one of my favorite examples of a great game with nearly perfect replayability.
The pacing and upgrading on your first playthrough were done very well and when you finish the game you not only carry over what you earned but unlock fun new weapons and costumes. I have easily played through it more times than any other game.
For those who haven't heard yet they now ship to Canada as well!
I absolutely loved this game. Just a few minor gripes such as the boss fights, endings, and no newgame+ mode. Otherwise stellar gameplay and story I hope to see more like it.
Not surprisingly there are some awfully suspicious join dates and comment histories in here.
It definitely has some odd flaws and quirks but I've never played anything quite like it. If wielding a fish to destroy your enemies is your idea of a good time you will probably love it.
This is exactly why I think review scores are useless. The content of the review is the only important part.
You would also have a significantly smaller budget though which in itself has many restrictions.
Yeah it's funny how people who are bothered by something want their opinion to be heard like it matters. Take this comment section for example.
Woo free stuff! Also,
"Entry period ends Wednesday August 28, 2012 Noon PDT." should be August 29. Still, awesome.
If you usually dig their stuff then I definitely recommend it. Mindless fun with plenty of deep customization and the sense of humor they are known for.
Totally worth it. Earthbound, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy "III" are my favorites in my entire collection of games.
It's definitely worth checking out. I even enjoy the multiplayer which I wasn't expecting at all.
XSEED are one of my favorite publishers and I have had no regrets buying any game with XSEED on the box (or download). They take risks and I hope it pays off for them.
Obviously it is great to include people of all skill levels. The inclusion of this mode is obviously not the issue the issue is that he referred to it as girlfriend mode which has such blatant connotations whether he was conscious of it or not. As I said earlier it was a mostly harmless comment but it reflected an unfortunate trend in the gaming community which the comments here have only proven to be as prevalent as ever.
This was very well written and no matter how many commenters here want to ignore or downplay the issue sexism is extremely prevalent in gaming and needs to be addressed. Sure his comment itself might not be a big deal when taken individually but like the article says it reflects a much bigger issue in the assumption of female players needing a crutch. Generalizations like that are harmful.
Gamers as a whole have been dealing for many years with generalizations of only being &...
It is a fantastic game. I revisit it every few years.
I absolutely agree with hazelamy on this. There is always a ton of backlash from the gaming community whenever a tolerance issue is brought up. So many douchebags who think people should just suck it up and deal with bigotry and hate without standing against it. The fact is the gaming community is filled with immature people and saying "that's just how it is deal with it" does nothing for anyone.
All gamers should be able to enjoy themselves online without being b...
A fantastic read but I am not surprised at the lack of comments here. It is easy to argue against something you don't understand but this article addresses so many of the passive-agressive "concerns" or outright bigotry that has plagued the other articles.
I'm absolutely shocked that this is an unlockable and not DLC.
That was extremely well said Hicken.
I sincerely hope that most of the people who are against this do it because they don't quite grasp these ideas and truly believe it isn't a problem.
