"The Star Ocean series have always been released on the PlayStation platform ever since the first Star Ocean was released on the PSOne"
Actually the first Star Ocean game was for Super Nintendo if you count Japan-only releases.
I've put about 30 hours into it and can say I also haven't had the same problem with the buttons. No clue what could be going on with your copy
Exactly. People are just always looking for reasons to bash this game but they will just be missing out if they don't at least give it a chance.
Why do people talk like open world games are inherently superior to linear ones? There is nothing wrong with this method of storytelling it is just different and many people actually prefer it.
...what?
Then what are you doing here?
I really hope you are right. Perhaps the 360-specific marketing push just has me paranoid.
Yes I mean the NA PS3 sales specifically. If they don't sell as well as they hope or even as well as the 360 version then I could easily see them making the decision to bring it to 360 for more sales.
To those putting all their hope in VSXIII and ignoring FFXIII.. do you really think it will stay exclusive if the PS3 sales of FFXIII struggle? I would love to see it stay exclusive myself but with all the people boycotting this one I doubt it.
I disagree that the gameplay looks the same as FFXII.
This one looks far more action oriented while XII had a sit back and watch feel to it.
I won't argue that is the case with most multiplatform games but that is for a reason..
Most developers use the 360 as the lead platform and then port to the ps3 because the 360 is easier to develop for. In this case though FF13 was developed with the ps3 as the lead and then ported (much more easily mind you) to the 360. In this case we will have to wait and see of course but I think it is much more likely the ps3 version will look best.
Boooo!
It's a great time for games.. and a bad time for wallets
or maybe they just don't feel an aesthetic change is worth it? a map or two would have had me sold but I can live without skins
I'm surprised they didn't mention White Knight Chronicles
If Bioware's games are the "evolved" RPGs then I hope JRPGs never evolve
I agree that the fanboy crap is inexcusable but the notion that just because you have been gaming for longer than most makes you know better just doesn't fly. I've seen just as much nonsense spewed from immature 35-year-olds as I have 15-year-olds.
It is all well and good if you don't take part in it but the age thing is irrelevant.. and this is also coming from someone who has many years of gaming under their belt.
That is one classy looking phone
Why play the game in the first place then? If you need something to distract you from an RPG then you don't sound like someone who would enjoy them in the first place. Why not go for something a little more up your ally like a FPS or sports game.
Great interview I can't wait for FFXIII.
