the remake of this game isn't even confirmed, how can 1up claim the release date has slipped?? This isn't newsworthy. I want to know when the devs confirm the remake.
unless you mod your consoles, i wouldn't recommend that anyone do a self-fix for this unless they want their warranty voided. seems like asking for trouble.
Yeah, Ico and SotC were pretty indicative that they don't feel held to a direct storyline. Which is nice, it opens up way more possibilities.
Syko, I guess you were wrong, he's happier alone. Which is probably best.
The commercials are bizarre, but they're totally serving their purpose. In being absurd and weird way more people are viewing them than normally would. That's the new marketing trend: do something that makes no sense to get people to your website/get more attention. In convincing me of that, they've succeeded. To buy a PSP? mmm, maybe not...
Sony and Apple didn't price their products counting on consumers' deep affection to overcome the price tag. They priced at what they had to price to reduce losses/maintain profit. Technology advances and things become cheaper to produce very rapidly - the infamous blue diode, for example. The PS2 price drop over time didn't occur because they needed to move product, it happens because it's cheaper to manufacture. Same for the iPhone. Did anyone see the lines for the iPhone? PS3? People ...
after massive success, "sony fails" is a much better story than "sony succeeds again!"
I am picking up R&C at release, but I don't think that can beat out the Halo 3 fans.
you guys really think so? every time i hear him speak i feel like he's channeling satan. guy creeps me out.
yeah, see my comment above (2.3)
possibly, they did promise a patch (though i thought that whole episode reeked of b.s.), and many folks on this site have pointed out that the cropped image was a way around frame rate issues. some folks are reporting that having completed the download, the game is lagging.
@thesadtruth, that's sadly uninformed.
multiplayer excitement? warhawk anyone? i have a ps3 and a 360 and thus far i've played more multiplayer games on the ps3.
ps3 owners hating on 360 games are the same as 360 owners like you: way too focused on "their" system to join the fun.
agreed. if we're basing things on stuff shown thus far and primarily at e3 (where assassins creed completely unimpressed me) it's all just, well, moot. i can't fault them for making news out of what we've been shown. i don't think it would hurt some devs to reconsider their approach to trailers and demos. i've said elsewhere on this site that the creators get really excited about what they're making and they have a vision, but we can't see the vision. we just get to see what they show us...
the previous article included a statement/correction from the guy that he did not work for Ninja Theory and that he worked in the US.
"Apparently, the poster's reluctance to reveal his actual place of work caused respondents to assume that he was still in employment at Ninja Theory."
and we all know what happens when you assume things.
agreed, i felt like they were overselling it at e3. the talk and reality didn't line up. i think when you're creating stuff like this you have the vision, you're really excited about it, you can see where it's going and you forget that other people can't and don't. we just see what they show us.
not having access to their market analyses, i can't say the decision was wise or unwise. i do know that for at least half of my gamer friends the 360 price tag is still too steep, particularly older gamers with families. more than a handful have picked up used xbox systems rather than spring for the 360. had the xbox remained in production at a lower price point, they would've bought them new.
i don't think pulling them from production was a dastardly scheme by microsoft. i...
it's not nearly so pretty, but the bluetooth sony remote gets the job done. if this one was bluetooth, i would be way more tempted.
does the phrase "pissing contest" come to anyone's mind with all this console war nonsense?
i think the point is if you don't want something, you don't want it -- no matter the price point or "extras". i'm pretty sure a lot of folks on here have been saying the exact same thing about the various consoles.
oral sex is naughty?!?!?! if only i'd known....
so maybe it's just me that wants more girls to get into gaming? oh, well!
i don't think you're going to get girls who aren't already really into gaming interested. girls, if they're not lame, will want to share your interests, so hopefully they'd find games they like. i think it's important to get them to appreciate that it's a valid interest; i hate hearing stories of women giving their husbands a hard time about buying systems, games, etc.
