I give this 100% approval. Big nods for this choice.
Think though, Uncharted 2 is a sequel. All things considered, Demon's Souls was much more riskier and I think did just as much for games in general this year as Uncharted 2. You watch, games are gonna get a little bit harder next year, and it took DS to push that change.

Yeah, I totally hear you. I'm trying not to be too excited because I had waited years for Hellgate to drop, and when it did, it almost hurt my feelings considering the talent behind the game... Really boggles my mind that those guys didn't create the best modern RPG, they were the Diablo 2 dudes! Well, some were. :(
I lol'd at the "Wants to Set the World on Fire" bit. Hahaha... Nice!
I want a Rock-It Launcher! What's the recipe for that again?
*grumble grumble mumble..*
Ah! Ok!
....brb.
I enjoyed the first paragraph...then it just got silly.
Why is the writer/blogger listing unannounced games as part of the 2011 line-up? Cross-game chat hasn't been confirmed, and correct me if I'm wrong, but a lot of the 2011 content listed there hasn't even been confirmed/announced yet.
I remember seeing the trailer for this a while ago. LOOKS PRETTY, but I dunno, it was CG for sure. But the monsters looked so damn crazy. I signed up on their site for something, and was enlisted as an Illuminati!
N4G is a great place to get news. Not ALL news, but there's still enough coming in from contributors that make it worth checking out every day. I used to look to G4tv.com and Kotaku, but I frequent there much, much less. I don't like some their writers/editors. G4 has a rabid bunch on there that seem to only want to argue about consoles and stuff (most of them sound like kids), and Kotaku's readers are great, but Brian Ashcraft and Luke Plunkett kind of ruin it for me. Can't stand their stuff...
There's supposed to be tons of different paths you can take in the game. Well, I guess decisions you can make would be a better way of putting it.
If they include trophies (not a matter of if anymore), they might spread them out to encourage people to play through different routes, and hey, I don't think people will do so because of the trophies. Here's hoping the story and characters are more the reason to play through it differently than just playing for trophies.
The boobs worked to convey that it's all serious I suppose. Like in a "This game is not really just another teen/kids game, it shows boobs and doesn't afraid of anything" sort of way. Really fitting music too. I liked the trailer.
Ok! So there IS a good reason!
*looks at new prescription meds*
*tosses new prescription meds in the garbage*
:D
Why so serious, Mickey?
Resonance of Fate, End of Eternity, Nier/Gestalt, I can't tell any of them apart.
WHY DO I KEEP THINKING THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!?
Is there something wrong with me?

Do I need a doctor?
I have a confession!
I played Demon's Souls nonstop instead of Uncharted 2!
I guess it's time I played it. The first one had cutscene acting like I've never seen in any other game (well next to Heavenly Sword), so if Uncharted 2 is packed full of scenes of that quality of better, I'm down for it.
Obviously I don't buy hype, I buy games that call out to me! This though. This is Eurogamer, smack-talking Bungie's efforts in comparison. This is kinda a big d...
If you're worried about it, go play both and see the differences for yourselves.
I wouldn't call it an advantage, but I do think it's convenient for people who know how to control their mouths.
I think it'd be neat if they had an optinal Sub fee that allowed you to take advantage of online storage (gamesaves and utilities, game downloads, not videos or music though since that's another part of Sony's business and things could get ugly there). Having all items paid for registered to you, much like how Blizzard lets you register cdkeys and you add them to your account as games you own and can download whenever you like. I think Steam does this too, but I'm not too sure.

I love these counterpoint videos! Really cool stuff.
They look the same. Don't kid yourself people and try to notice glaring differences, as there aren't any.
It's not supposed to be worth any effort, it's multiplat for a reason. They want easy money, with the least effort put forth in adapting the games to the systems. As long as they run on the systems it is released on, they made their money, with or without that effort.
Not a fan of Luke's articles, and sometimes Brian's. I dunno, they just have a lot of cynicism to them. They always feel snarky and negative when I read them.
A sad day for online console gaming? They don't include a squelch/mute button for people you don't want to listen to? ......?
It's great that the kid got what he wanted though. He'll have lots of fun playing it. I almost blacked out from excitement after opening my first NES, feeling is sort of like that for sure. Who knows, maybe this kid will be a games journalist someday (elohel), or perhaps make an awesome game or two. Look! it's a really happy kid! Although it's not even ne...
