I'd certainly like to see it!
I'd love to see a character with needler proficiency. Quicker needles that explode faster. then there'd be a defensive ability called something like "Pin Cushion" that lets you reduce needle damage. Things like that.
I'd like to see a "perk" where you're not killed by shots to the head. Call it "Lead Head" or something. That'd be neat.
I remember Unreal Championship had character rosters much li...
Something tells me they're not going to let all these characters just die. They'll pop up again, and then there'll be all that pick a character stuff with abilities for each (interchangeable "perks"), stuff like that. Enter: Halo with RPG elements. You watch!
It kinda seemed like everyone tried their hardest to ignore that game. I know people with PS3's and I told them to buy the game or throw their PS3's out. What did they do? They kept playing Modern Warfare 2, leveling up, and then resetting their level for some silly reason.
Why does N4G have an open zone?
I've yet to really see exactly why.
Call me jaded, but those screens don't look impressive at all. Not even in the slightest. While I do enjoy a good few rounds of Halo every now and again, I won't be looking forward to anything new in the graphics department in Reach.
Maybe I'm missing the point, though. Halo isn't supposed to look realistic at all right? Halo2 looked great for a last gen game, but beyond Halo 2, the visuals really stayed in the same place. Maybe the only direction for Halo's style is more...crisp...
I would be totally happy with HD remakes of the old games with added weapons and the PS2-era control schemes. That would probably keep my AC appetite at bay for years. I might even forgive them for AC4 and For Answer.
If only they'd push the hardware a LITTLE bit with the graphics... Never was a fan of Blizzard's 3D adventures to be honest, I'm hoping D3 converts me though.
Tristram is an important place for sure, and the more lore the better. I wonder if they'll include the Tristram Pandemonium Event in the town's history? One thing I REALLY want to see is, Wirt come back as an Angel weilding a massive prosthetic leg. Either that, or the Bonesnap (unique maul).
I think they chang...
Crank did everything great. It was hilarious and didn't take itself seriously, and had lots of hectic action. The doctor was just too damn cool.
I'd play a Crank game for sure. It would make for a pretty crazy game if you think about it.
They did change the controls for AC4 to a more arcade-like feel. Less sim-like, more like an action game. I myself found perfection in the AC3 controls (or it was perhaps Another Age, not sure), basically the PS2 era AC games. They introduced the dual analog aiming, and you didn't have to do so much up and down aiming with the shoulder buttons. This felt perfect for me. AC4 was too much of a pick-up and play type deal. There's only so much ZOE I can handle in my AC games, even though ZOE is a...
The AC series (for me) always had CG intros that could only be described as eye-candy. I would find myself watching them every time I would turn on the games. Even though the series has been on a downhill slope compared to the older games, I still have hope that AC5 will pull them out of the sinking pit I found the series in as of late. *Fingers crossed*
Who's "we"? You mean Ps3-only owners?
Yeah.. I Tried telling people that. They don't usually listen or care.
Blah, blah, Gears, Gears.. Has anyone played Winback or Kill.Switch lately?
BTW, Quantum definitely wants to be gears, didn't a guy at Tecmo basically say yes?
I thought he said they could release it at any time? What a CRAZY man, haha! (or a terrible translation).
Hey, I've actually seen gimped/dwarfed versions of old psx games, and let me tell you, the videos and the animated, pre-rendered bg's make up for like 60-80% of the data on those discs, haha. I'm not even kidding. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same case with newer games like MGS4 and FF13. The PS2 FF games did ok, in terms of the number of discs they required.. and they had really nice cutscenes (or cg, whatever) in them all. If those games were only about 2 gigs worth of "raw game...
A 6.8 gig hallway is what it's starting to sound like (based on early reviews). Meh. FFX was the same way I guess. Hallways, and a few fields. then a pick-your-destination world map that allowed revisiting of said locations.
I do recall seeing a video not too long ago. It was a Japanese demo of the game, and it featured a big open landscape, and a huge animal/monster walking around. They attacked it and got killed. It kinda had that open-world feeling FFXII did.
Whet...
Hey look on the bright side, there might be teams that run out and change your wheels for you, and they look fantastic. I'm not sure if they're actually in the game, but they keep being shown..
*fingers crossed*
80k per character? Wow.. I'm sure they could have chopped that number in half and still had them look close, but wow. I had not idea they were that much. A 15k poly character with normal maps would look just as good as something with over 100k polys I'm sure. Crazyness.
Edit: definitely not "just as good", but it'd still be pretty.
A decent (real nice actually) character would have about 10-15k poly's (unless they're going all out), but 500k is INSANE. Even for a vehicle.
My only worry is that the environments are going to look like crap, which I really really hope isn't the case. The environment is half the game really..Not paper-thin guard rails, no flat trees, no brown, solitary gravel. I hope they took a glance at Motorstorm when they made GT5. Oh man I hope they did.
*sigh....*
A few complaints here and there when Sony releases an update, yet "Those who shall not be named" can just wipe out hundreds of thousands of their consoles, rendering them inoperable (on many occasions, people who don't deserve this also feel the sting).
The PS3 IS A SINKING SHIP! WATCH OUT FELLOW "HARDCORE" GAMERS!
