I'm talking about the fear of something being leaked. It's not so much a problem when you are feeding your fans/potential buyers with progress. They are, after all, the people who decide if your business stays afloat after your releases. It's Halo, it's not as if we haven't seen it before. It's not a new IP that's going to surprise everyone.
I think devs should update their fans with progress instead of trying to hold out until release. They can be like "well, everything is going to look much, much better, since we are running this build with blah blah blah. Here's a clip of the progress we've made so far."
When you have such a large and rabid fanbase, they will want to see what's going on during the game's development. If people weren't so interested, nobody would go to such lengths to leak things.

Star Fox on SNES was amazing. Nauseating at times, but amazing! I didn't play the N64 version, so I'm not quite sure what to expect with a Wii Star Fox game. I think it would be pretty sweet if they can refine the motion controls well enough to make it comfortable.
I'd much rather a new Pilotwings though... Don't ask why. The SNES version was just too damn cool, not to mention pretty challenging at times.
Yeah Red, the Beach Head was probably my favorite of all the DLC maps. It's so chaotic/atmospheric, but spacious at the same time. Unfortunately I only was able to play on it twice! Only twice! Radec is a great map for sure, but since the objective locations don't quite change, I quickly find myself getting bored of playing Radec Academy. Tharsis is also a great map, but I want to play other maps for the same reason I mentioned Radec. I forget the name of the map that takes place on one large...
I heard it was actually a loan they handed rockstar for the development. From what I heard, they gave them that 50 mil and released it as timed exclusivity in return. Rockstar made the money back, paid off the 50 mil back to MS after they hit paydirt and then called it a day. As told by Torrence at the Bitbag..

I would consider timed exclusivity almost the same as exclusivity these days, and that's the way SE has been going when it comes to their games and what they're released on. You can tell they want to migrate to the next biggest/easiest money-making platform, which is MS's 360 this generation like it or not. Sony playing their cards "right" would have the PS3 launched much later than the 360. Instead of getting suckerpunched and then stumbling onto the scene, they could have basically charged their big laser and fired at the Wii and 360 with a product that was actually ready, with a big first-party lineup. Yep. I brought that up a while ago (The Radec map games), and got a ton of disagrees. I haven't been on there much, I was really hoping to play the DLC maps which I find are amazing, but nobody plays. Other great maps like Pyrrhus Rise and Salamun Market don't get enough playtime I find, while Tharsis and Radec are mostly the only games I can find. *shakes fist*.
I think it wold have been great if they changed the Helghast eye colors to pink for the Valentine's Day weekend, haha..

They take a look at Nintendo. and see the same old IP's they milk gen in-gen-out and then look at their sales. They then say to themselves: "So owning your own IP's is actually is a good way of staying relevant and profitable. Hrmm. Let's invest!"

It's to funnel as much sales as possible into the 360 this year. I don't know how else to really explain it. A PC port can always come later they think.
It's a matter of priority and it makes complete sense for MS to go Xbox-only.

Ya know what? Metal Gear (smaller series when compared to FF I'm sure) just hit like what was it? 3 million+ units sold? And most of those sales were at a time when the PS3 had a much smaller userbase.
They really didn't need a port to be honest, they would have sold like 3-4 million easily on PS3 alone. Look at the rest of SE's 360 exclusive games. Was it worth it for them? Probably not if you look at the sales. And we all know the 360 attach rate is higher..

I like handhelds more than consoles this generation, but I find handheld RPG's are impossible to enjoy in short sittings (a situation you'd most likely use your handheld for). I'll sit down with one for a while if that's what the game calls for... But I'd much rather sit with a good console RPG, and be on the go with handheld pick-up and play games.
