Sounds like music domains. As it's too early for a "remix" reboot.
Actually, between Symphony of the Night and one of the GBA titles - either Circle of the Moon or Aria of Sorrow or Harmony of Dissonance shared some sort of story somewhere.
My money's on Aria of Sorrow, but I can't be sure. Other than that, I agree, there isn't much of a "lore" per se, since most Castlevania games take place like a century after another.
@LordMe Ah, I see. I had no idea, Thanks!
@DrakBlack the way I read @Lord_Sloth's tone is this: "What? You haven't heard of Lord of Shadows? You're dumb." Because you're pretty much ignoring Lord of Shadows' existence, regardless of the fact that this game is the sequel to LoS.
That's an interesting point.
Either Alucard is older now, or that's Soma from Aria of Sorrow.
BTW, I always thought that Alucard's hair was grey because of the in-game character sprites.
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
And some character art in some cases show his hair grey with a little bit of highlights of blonde.
Why don't you people stop hating...
It just shows you got nothing better to do.
lastdual, gee, must you argue back with me? I mean, gee, I think you don't understand that release dates are subject to change.
This is a INDIE developer, that means they're limited in publishing, and developing games, so I don't think we're going to see a giant-sized game like you pick up at retailers. I think this will be more like a download title on PSN/XBA.
Actually, no. With the rise of Crowdfunding via Kickstarter and other indie games coming out... Robert's timing is immaculate. More than that, Robert is more or less banking on the niche's rising. Since RE6 is coming out, Black Ops 2 coming with Zombies, and other zombie games coming out between now and 2013.
@yesmynameissumo I doubt they'll remove the "OnLive" brand. I think it will be used as a brand for the internet, while devices supporting it will bear the PlayStation name.
If this is "Gaikai" then I see the same happening.
@jamstorr86 I think that Sony can rename the current OnLive MicroConsole to PlayStation MicroConsole, or OnLive PlayStation. Either way, I think they're after the people behind the venture. Companies buy other ...
Good thinking! :)
I also still prefer physical media.
I'd prefer "both," like PS3 is currently. The Blu Ray technology is still relevant today.
@dcbronco I dunno about you, but every time I go to a store where Blu Ray is purchased, I see at least one or two people buying Blu Ray players, and I see even more buy Blu Ray movies/media.
Blu Ray is still a good investment not just on Sony's end, but on ours, too. And it will stay that way until HD is worn out as a marketing strategy.
That's not what he's saying though.
He's saying that because "games suck" the industry is still in "stone age" with games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2/3, and Arkham City proving this guy wrong.
I agree that the industry is in stone age to some degree, but the way he's saying it, is far different from what you're implying or saying.
For example, the Japanese development community is suffering bec...
One thing is to say that all games follow the same "template," the other is saying "all games suck." And/or saying "games are still in stone ages."
Really? So, you call Batman: Arkham City stone age. You call Uncharted 2/3 stone age.
Yeah, Okay, Mr. Pitchford. Okay!
When you play online, do you always have to be online to be able to keep your online stats?
Legit question. I haven't bought the game yet...
Tony Jaa for one of the fighters, please.
I think this is geared towards a comic niche, rather than the usual Lost Planet market.
I immediately thought "Ace Attorney and Lost Planet made a baby?" Because the game does take place in ice-cold terrain, and the game makes full use of comic book-like story pages, and animation. Not only that, their characters have postures that are stripped straight from Phoenix Wright's famous "Objection."
@Vortis, I don't see "Shut Up" anywhere. But your link proves my point: It's all about attitude.
Not that it's a good thing.
EDIT: Now I see "shut up" in the comments, but that's a USER, not a moderator or administrator. Er. The writer, or a writer.
It's not just button response, it's the overall freedom of combo. That's what made DMC universally loved. The fact that they got combos RIGHT - in 3D.
I wish Ninja Theory played DMC3 for themselves and see why it's such a landmark title.
