Somehow people like this guy seem to forget that up until now Spider-man has been multiplat and commercial/critical response has been mixed as best.

Being multiplat sure hasn't done that for Marvel previously. I wouldn't be surprised if Spider-man does break some records though.

That alone means nothing. There have been plenty of Spider-man games in the past and none of them have reached these heights and they were all multiplat. Sony and Insomniac have created something special and the sales are showing it. It is impressive.

For me, God of War is still the best. Spider-man is a close second though. Regardless, this is the best super-hero game ever made, imo.

But you get to do all that stuff while being Spider-man and all the web-slinging and combat that comes with that. Obviously this game doesn't break much new ground (if any) in the open world aspect, but it doesn't need to. It got they KEY points of being Spider-man nailed down perfectly. Now is it the best game this gen? No, I don't think so but it is still pretty awesome.
Witcher 3 was one the most glitch-free open world games around. So no idea what was going on with your version. Very strange. The gameplay requires some understanding of the systems and the weakness of the enemies. I thought was fantastic personally. Superior to BoTW in every way I can think of, frankly. But as you say....opinions
Before it is done, I'm going to have well over 100 hours in Spider-man. That is plenty. Besides, why do you want to play the same game over and over and over? You do realize there are more games coming out than Spider-man and Pubg, right? At some point I want to play Forza Horizon 4, Shadow of TR, Dragon Quest XI, etc.
Well, it is a fact that none of the features and services Microsoft has tacked on to Xbox have made any difference. BC, game pass, etc.....even the mighty X. Hasn't made a difference. PS4 still outsells Xbox.

With Xbox One vs PS4, Xbox has the both the cheapest/worst performing console and the most expensive/best performing console. PS4 holds the middle ground with PS4 and Pro.
