It is possible, I guess. The theory that some have is bringing movie Spidey to the MCU was part of the deal for the game rights. But the LA times had a piece about the movie deal last year and it makes no mention of the game whatsoever.

We have had Spider-man games before and it has been nearly 20 years since we had a Spidey game of this quality. So whine all you want about this, but I would rather have a great Spidey exclusive than the ok-to-mediocre Spidey multiplats we've received in the past.
Sony bought the movie rights to Spider-man, not the gaming rights. Until a few years ago, Activision had the game rights and made all the Spider-man games. The details of this game and the deal between Sony and Marvel are unknown.

We don't know any of the details of the "situation" between Sony and Marvel. Marvel HAS brought their IPs to the masses/multiplat for the vast majority of its history. For whatever reasons, Marvel decided they wanted Sony and Insomniac to make a game based on one of Marvel's properties. Insomniac choose Spider-man. That is all we know.
And Spider-man is not a "console exclusive". It is a PS4 exclusive.
