I've found that as well. At anyone time when it released roughly 2/3 of my friends list were playing Destiny, me included.
Now it's roughly 1/6.
I was bored within a week. The core game is great, it just needs a lot more content and a completely overhauled loot system.

So obviously you're a little confused. It's the xbone only owners that are having to wait, not the PS4 fans.
And all of that comnbined pales in comparison to MS's draconian DRM they tried to enforce.
I could also mention MS knowningly releasing a faulty console just to get a headstart, denied they knew anything and denied the failure being high when it was one of the most faulty electronic products released ever. It was only after they were threatened with a class action law suite that they increased the warranty and claimed they were doing it out of the goodness of their heart....

Was it all the way back in March? I can't remember back that far. It's a long time ago.
And also remind me, last generation, which was the company that stopped bothering to release exclusives half way through the generation and which company continue to release quality new IPs the entire way through? I'm sure you know.
I'm begging to think some of the bigger publishers put a LOT more work into optimising their xbone games so the performance gap isn't so huge.
Maybe in Konami's case they spent equal optimising time of both platforms and that's why the gap is so large.
I wonder if MS gives extra incentives to publishers to work longer on the xbone version.

Those are cross generational games that are hitting 1080p on the xbone, or graphical undemanding games. Don't fool yourself.

You didn't for what ever reason. You choose an xbone knowing full well that it was weaker than the PS4 by a noticeable margin. So sit down, shut up and deal with the consequences of your choice.
To expect devs to downgrade PS4 multiplats to the same fidelity of the xbone is fanboyism on a whole other level.
I don't think either of them will do particularly well in China.
I don't know the culture well at all, but if I put myself in a Chinese gamer's shoes, I would think to myself, why would I want to buy a severely restricted console that more than likely not be able to play any of the decent AAA games because of that pathetic rule.
