Yes, they both want money, but here's the difference.
One tried to screw gamers over and created a console that extracted as much money from gamers as possible, regardless if it hurt the gamer or not.
The other built the best possible console they could that was geared towards gamers, where feedback from the developers of the industry heavily influenced their decisions.

Yup, those investors aren't going to be happy with MS throwing millions of dollars into the xbone for it to only sell half as good as the PS4. (and less than half in a lot of regions).
