It begs the question.
Why the hell didn't some other publisher fund this game and put in out on more systems?
Well done for nintendo for having actual brain cells and realising what a great game the first one was and investing in a sequel.
Even if the game has amazing AI, we know that CPU bound excuse is BS
I'm no tech expert, but even I know increasing just the resolution only puts more strain on the GPU and doesn't really affect the CPU.
We know the GPU in the PS4 is a lot stronger so there's no excuse for the resolution to be the same on the xbone.
Ubisoft are really digging their collective stubborn heels in. I guess they're hoping the situation will just go away.
Closing off dialogue is not the answer.
You're right, there is no hard proof and since we're the one's making the accusation the burden of proof lies with us.
All we have is conjecture and circumstantial evidence.
But I think you're very naive if you won't even consider the possibility that MS didn't have a hand in influencing ubisoft's decision to not take advantage of the PS4 hardware.
"Please show me that quote.. Because the developer didn't say any such thing"
Ok, n4rc, here you go.
"We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff."
I know you're not really this stupid. You're just desperately trying to spin the argument in MS's favor.
You know what's really frustrating? The incredible amount of stupid comments coming from a certain few...
lol.
I think any group on people that can defend the DRM and continue to so viciously defend MS after the fact is right up there at cult status.
I find it laughable you think your stance is common sense. No level headed ps fan is asking for this game to be 1080p60fps. For the BILLIONTH time, it's not about resolution, it's about purposefully holding the PS4 version back to the same level as the xbone.
@Septic
I've never been more happy to eat crow in my gaming life. I thought what ubisoft did had started a very unjust standard in motion.
"The gap between PS4 and XB1 is not significant for us." Key word there being, "FOR US".
I'm sure if this game was more graphically intensive the performance gap would have come into play.
Unless, of course, if they intentionally held back one of the platform like a certain 2 publishers are doing right now.
Well said Stuna1.
I really hope Sony does something about this. They didn't ask countless dev teams for feedback when designing the Ps4 and making the best possible, gamer centric gamer they could just for games to run the same as the xbone.
And I didn't buy a PS4 to play xbone games.
If ms can send a dev teams in to bump up the performance, I see no reason why sony shouldn't do the same, especially when we know there's extra ...
This recent parity issue is really bringing out a lot of stupid.
virtually every single multiplatform title has performed noticeably better on the PS4, yet all of a sudden these 2 games are the same and they both just happen to have an exclusive marketing deal with ms.
Are you really this naive?
Are people really this stupid?
Oh ffs...
At the start of this generation I thought that BS parity was a thing of the past, apparently I was wrong.
I guess dragon age is another one going on the rent list. This BS needs to stop.
Good to see you anticipating some great looking indie games.
I hope that mindset doesn't keep flip flopping, depending on which platform your talking about.
I think we all have a great holiday season to look forward to.
That logic is deeppy flawed and it's clear it's just an extremely desperately attempt to defend this pathetic clause.
The clause does not filter bad games, all it does it stop games that have released first on the PS4 to coming to the xbone. I could make a terrible game, but if as long as I release it on all platforms simultaneously it can still come to the xbone.
I find it amazing that certain ms fans are defending this clause that has prevented a wh...
It's amazing how you get more disagrees for such a common sense argument.
I refuse to believe people are actually this stupid, They must just be trolling.
It's truly amazing how many people have the mindset to just bend over.
I weep for humanity.
Maybe I should contact ubisoft and tell them, since you're doing the whole parity thing, why stop at the xbone? Why not expand your market, release the game of the Wii U as well and downgrade everything to 720p and reduce the size of the city and number of NPCs on sceen for all versions of the game.
Since your happy to bend over for parity, Art...
I'm sorry. Excuse me for plunking down $400 for a console. Excuse me for doing thorough research and buying the PS4, expecting better performing titles of multiplats. Excuse me for not wanting to just bend over and let ubisoft have their way with me. Excuse me for having actual standards and standing up for what's right.
I bought a PS4 to play PS4 games, not xbone games. GTFO with that BS.
I don't get how people still say the game WASN'T downgraded.
Whatever the xbone can do the PS4 can do plus more.
That's just the simple truth of the matter.
I didn't buy a PS4 to play the xbone version of games.
You can ask MS how they think about that theory concerning their DRM.
It's amazing how you get more disgrees for such a common sense statement. Goes to show there's also a whole lot of ms fanboys running around this site. It's not the sony fanboy infested site some people would have you believe.
The more powerful console should get the better performing games. It's not rocket science. I can't comprehend why certain people get offended at this logic.
Maybe someone could explain it to me.
