The gameplay took a hit. It's slower than previously shown, takes more time for attacks to register and the animations aren't as smooth.

If it's not some Action Adventure with a big empty open-world and fetch quests galore flirting with RPG elements, it has no chance in today's market.
Allow me to disagree with your experience, point flaws in your preference, and offer my irrelevant, anecdotal evidence (aka my experience) to discredit what you just said, show you how wrong you are about yourself, and change your mind and taste for the better.
Starfield is Bethesda's chance to shine, no longer confined by TES or Fallout lore. Fallout 4's story and dialogue were clear signs Bethesda didn't know where to go after 3 and Obsidian's New Vegas. I dare say they don't fully understand what Fallout is about. I hope Starfield shakes things up like Skyrim did (though I doubt).

The acquisition of Bungie is expected to have an effect on this fiscal year (but not on a specific quarter). The mentioned reasons are lower sales of first- and third-party games as well as increase in current development expenses.
Maybe when we get decent AI-generated voices. As it is, writing and voicing unique dialogue would cost a boatload.

I agree, but personally CDPR's status hinges on their next project. They either solidify their place in my top 3 studios, or get scratched entirely out the list.

It'll sell great but double? Horizon Zero Dawn, PlayStation's best selling game on PC, sold 2.4M in a year and a half (20+ million copies across PS+PC).
The only two games that might match PS's numbers are Bloodborne and Spider-Man.
Vanguard is terrible. Any modern CoD would have been right below ER.
