Or, rather, each game in the series (such that it is) does some things really well, but also has some elements that are terrible. For DA3, those terrible elements are Ubisoft-style sidequests (which, to be fair to Bioware, are a HUGE improvement over the rubbish quests in ME3) and tedious, poorly-designed combat.

Though to be fair again to Bioware, it's possible I'm being too harsh on the combat due to playing DAO immediately after DOS--an RPG who has some of the best...

Very, very, very loosely.

Not "great" so much as "necessary" thanks to the crap Sony pulled with the PS4.

Guess you don't remember the Move.

May as well just get the posters and sell 'em on ebay for $40.

Because after ALBW and open-world ZeldaU announcement, the popularity of the franchise is at its peak? Zelda hasn't been this big since the N64 days.

Better be a free patch for everyone who bought the first version. I am sick to hell of this kind of bullshit.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. It looks and plays better, sure, but it has a lot less content (even compared to DW8 vanilla).

Gameplay-wise I'm not sold, either. The hyper attacks all feel too samey, and it lacks a lot of things that made Hyrule Warriors stand out so much (IMO, it's the best Musou game to date). Once again, the most fearsome enemy in the game is the camera.

IIRC, the songs in F were just transliterated into romanji, so I doubt F2 has proper English subtitles.

Anyway, what's the memory size of the game? I can't imagine having a Project Diva game on a cart--the instant-access of a digital copy is just too perfect for a game that demands to be played as often as this.

The funny thing is Nintendo DID need to plan their releases better. It was a huge problem for them... and they should get major props for recognizing that and taking steps to solve it. Remember how awful the 3DS was doing that first year? Notice how great the 3DS is doing now?

The failure of the 3DS spurred Nintendo to adopt a new policy: to ensure that they had one big game release per month per platform. That steady stream of software saved the 3DS, and a similar stream of ...

Dragon Age Origins because was overhyped for two reasons: first, it had a very difficult development history--the game was almost finished, then scrapped, then re-developed with a new team; then, when the game launched, Bioware tried to bill it as a spritual successor to Baldur's Gate--and it was inferior to Baldur's Gate in every way.

So, while DAO was very popular with a lot of casual and new gamers, those who had been following the game for a long time, and older/e...

@Grap: I like both series plenty. But I'm not a fanboy. I don't masturbate to each and every title and insist that it's flawless and perfect and beyond reproach.

This notion you have that it's impossible to enjoy something and criticize it simultaneously... is, essentially, the absolute worst, most damaging, most cancerous aspect of geek/fan culture.

I really don't even know how to engage with you. I don't have the stomach necessary fo...

Nope, guess I was too young for that nonsense. All we cared about were whatever games. We wouldn't even have known what "16bit" or "32bit" meant.

I suppose mages are similar to in previous games? Less the classic glass cannons (that are oh so much fun), and more the buff/debuff machines?

It's easy for me to see it, it's being hyped up way too much, especially considering how each of the prior games had some pretty serious flaws. For Witcher 2 it was tiny areas and boring quests--and poor optimization; for Witcher 1 it was dull combat and wonky menu design. People are building up both Witcher 3 and, albeit to a lesser extent, Dragon Age 3, to be world-ending RPGs. The penultimate titles of the genre.

And that's way too much for any one game to live...

I would love a Galaxy 3. Especially if they do similar music. IMHO, all of the Mario games have really generic music--except the Galaxy games. That music... perfect. I'd love a new Galaxy with much bigger worlds/planetoids to explore. Good god.

But, yeah: the next big games are Xenoblade 2, which we still don't know much about, and Zelda, which we know nothing about. Captain Toad and Splatoon don't really seem like "big" games to me--they feel more like ...

Eh, I think it was different for everyone back then. Things were different, more insular--and therefore potentially more unique--before the ubiquity of the Internet.

You see: we couldn't argue about hardware, because we didn't know anything about hardware; we couldn't even argue about libraries, because we weren't even AWARE of the whole libraries of each system. And it was virtually impossible for us to educate ourselves. The "console war," such as ...

How can I get this in my game?

EDIT: this video also highlights the biggest flaw with Tomodachi Life: the lack of Nintendo-themed clothing items.

4100d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I can't wait till this game is out.

Simply because I'm tired of it being the -only- thing Nintendo people want to talk about. Let's look past Smash, already, to the next big thing! Especially for people like me, who don't like it in the first place. >_<

Seems like? It is. 100%.

But in many ways it's correct. Look at all the exaggerated, overblown hype for Dragon Age 3, then at the inevitable disappointment and backlash: we'll see the same thing happen with Witcher 3.
