Yeah, they put the secret cow level in Diablo 2 *because* of the rumor of there being one in Diablo 1.
They also made one of the Starcraft cheats, "there is no cow level" or something like that.
...Except I'm not missing out. That's my -entire- point--that I would miss out if there was NOT going to be a PC port. Without that PC port, I'd have to sacrifice either resolution or online play.
It wasn't an "official" announcement (as in something that was stated to Western media), but it was announced all the same (in Japan).
See:

Well, I don't want to settle for for an inferior play resolution. I have some standards, after all.
@Blackleg-sanji: because it's not on a Sony platform and the Xbox is utterly irrelevant to me.
...Not only is it not "best," it's not "game" either. It's only half a game. ~__~
Yes, you're crazy. The main cultural difference with Japan, insofar as gaming is concerned, is that they tend to be much, much less transparent. In this context, that means they're less likely to discuss localization until closer to the localized' titles release. This is why, for example, you seldom see a Japanese developer announce a game that's not already in alpha (whereas Western developers will announce a game before they even start predevelopment).
And t...
Because it's a spin-off game developed by OmegaForce using the same engine they've used for... every single game they've developed post-Dynasty Warriors 6.
Also: don't get mad at Square-Enix for "ruining" the franchise with a spin-off game. That anger should have come when they turned it into a single-player MMO, and then a full-on MMO. In other words: your outrage is several years too late.
And the Developer.
Dragons Dogma was a horrible mess that they could barely get to run on PS3/360, and even then they had to "cheat" by letterboxing the display area. Do you really think they'd even be capable of a PC port?
We've had those. Any kind of DBZ game you can imagine, we've had multiples of... with at least one being good.
Allow me to direct you to Budokai 3 and Attack of the Saiyans.
The first game was confirmed for a 2015 release back in August.
Hope this turns out better than their last attempt at an RPG.
And that it gets localized... ANYWHERE.
"11" is not the right number. They're counting Super Luigi U, which is DLC, not a game in its own right.
@LordMe: It's not, "The WiiU versus every other platform." That would be silly. Everyone would just lose to PC.
@Nicksetzer1: Titanfall is on PC, Halo is on XB2 and XB1 and PC.
If you want a more accurate comparison using Metacritic's own metrics....
The WiiU has 74 good games with a metascore of 75+.
The PS4 has 89 good games with a metascore of 75+.
The XB3 has 56 good games with a metascore of 75+.
The WiiU has 10 good exclusives with a metascore of 75+.
The PS4 has 2 good exclusives with a metascore of 75+.
The XB3 has 2 good exclusives with a metascore of 75+.*
*Fixed in edit...
So glad this is coming to PC. No way am I going to be paying Sony for the "privilege" of online play.
I really want to see an open-world Mario game. Think about it: imagine if all of the levels of Mario 64, or Galaxy, or 3D World... were all in a single, seamless world?
That right there is, I think, is what the third generation of Mario will be. Or should be.
Probably. But do you really want it? TK is a company that consistently says, "**** YOU" to its consumers, and this is insulting even by their standards.
What would the correct execution be?
Minecraft is all about emergent narrative. You can't make a story out of that, because there is zero intentional narrative content within the confines of the game.
Before thinking about a female protagonist, shouldn't they focus on making one, just one, just one character who isn't a loathsome, moronic asshole?
The biggest problems Uncharted 4 has to overcome are all inherent to Naught Dog's game design philosophy. If it can avoid small, linear levels that rely on setpieces and a story that is actually planned out instead of cobbled together based on whichever setpieces they end up finishing, it could be a very good game.
But I wouldn't hold my breath for them overcoming either of those problems, let alone both.
We need more translations of Famitsu reviews just so people can see for themselves how shallow they are. They're really just really basic impressions with a score attached.
