To be fair, they present the Inquisition very poorly. You have to go through a lot of optional dialog and read a lot of lore to really understand what it is.
It's really clumsy how they present it. Just from the story scenes, you'd never know that Justinia created the Inquisition prior to her death, only it was secret; nor do you learn the historical significance of the Inquisition until you recruit and speak to whats-her-name. Nor do you learn that the Inquisition w...
It's actually a decent review. Not great, but better than most of the stuff that pops up on N4G. Don't hate the writer because he or she failed to arrive at a score you approve of.
The simple fact of the matter is that DAI is a game that involves a LOT of tedious gameplay. You'll spend most of your time wandering mostly-empty wilderness areas, collecting resources, hunting down lore bits, performing fetch quests, playing simple mini-games, and so on. One's enj...
Wow. I've never actually seen anyone before who thought Canada and the United States both used the same currency.
For the record, $70 Canadian (or CAD) is approximately $61.83 USD. So the prices you're whining about are a lot more equal than you think.
Such a great game. Persona storytelling + Etrian Odyssey gameplay = WINNING COMBINATION!
It really highlights just how bad the EO remakes are. Not that they're bad, per se, but that they just don't do nearly enough to make the story or characters interesting.
I'd go so far as to say that Persona Q is the best RPG on the 3DS, and there's a LOT of competition there. Hell, I'd even say it's one of the top 3 if you include the NDS library....
I haven't seen a single sale price that looked terribly appealing to me. Shadow of Mordor for $25 USD came the closest, though.
Hm... I would say Inqusition plays better than Origins or DA2, but still far below BG2 or DOS.
I would go so far as to say that RDR is Rockstar's only genuinely great game. The GTAs are far too handicapped by the hamfisted sociopolitical humor and unlikable protagonists. RDR manages to be a huge step above the GTAs by making the actual setting a character unto itself, and introducing various surreal elements.
In GTA, the player spends most of his or her time interacting with a city that never feels real or genuine, with pedestrians and drivers and cops that consist...
Nintendo has been declared dead more times than God.
I think right now there's some serious potential for a dedicated handheld gaming tablet, but neither Sony nor Nintendo really seem to recognize the opportunity. The first person who can successfully merge the performance of a gaming console with the utility of a tablet is going to make loads of dosh.
And what's really weird is that Sony came really, really close to it with the Vita--but it was too half-hearted of an attempt to matter.
Oh, wow. Didn't realize how confusing that would be.
*ahem*
DOS is Divinity: Original Sin. The single most impressive CRPG since Baldur's Gate II. And it's the game with well-designed combat... certainly NOT Dragon Age Anything.
And, yeah, been a gamer since MS-DOS.
15 pages of hitbaiting shit. Remember, folks: rate down sites like these and don't give them traffic.
Are they in stores now?
I have a WiiU and a 3DS, both of which I believe have Amiibo functionality, but I don't care one whit about that. I just want to have some cool Nintendo-themed collectibles to display. Link, Zelda and DK will look fantastic under my Macross and Gundam models, if I can find room behind all of the LoGH ships I've got.
Agree completely.
Though I would say that the Empires games are also fairly shallow, and typically DO get very boring by the 3rd playthrough or so. The chief advantage the Empires games have is the more versatile AI and more dynamic battles--and the (very welcome) additional depth of the tactical systems.
The chief weakness is, of course, the lack of depth in the "strategy" side of the game. Can you imagine how fantastic it would be if they had the ...
It's a 1-versus-many character action game with (very) light RPG elements (weapon collection, weapon skill customization, level-up mechanics). Keep in mind Musou games are VERY shallow character-action games, whose chief draw is the sheer number of playable characters.
If you're looking to get into the franchise I'd recommend the upcoming Bladestorm Nightmare remake (Joan d'Arc + Dragons) or Hyrule Warriors.
I like how it's 90% of the same old hairstyles from DA2 and DA1, and 80% of the same hairstyles from ME1, ME2 and ME3... and none of 'em are very good. Oh, well: at least it's better than Bethesda's hair. Yikes.
But, yeah, in general the character creation is very good. Probably the best variable, non-modular character creation engine I've ever seen. That said, I still prefer the typical Japanese modular character-creation systems. In the one, it seems lik...
Well, good for Microsoft. Both their console, and Sony's, are selling pretty well almost exclusively by the power of their respective brands.
And I'd hate to say anything that could be misconstrued as fanboyish, but I have to say... while this could be construed as "bad" (or catastrophic) for Nintendo, going from 1st place to 3rd in as many years, when it comes to Nintendo worldwide sales numbers don't really matter so much as the local sales figures (th...
Some of the low-poly models really feel out of place.
That would be "Kickstarter."
I used to not believe in satire because of the simple fact that no one ever "understands" satire, least of all the people most meant to be skewered by it. Now, I disbelieve satire because the most absurd, ridiculous ideas we can imagine... are already part of our reality.
Or have a regular 3DS.
I cannot comprehend how anyone, when given the option, would take the regular 3DS/N3DS over the respective XLs. Those bigger screens make a helluva difference.
"Fabricate meaning" makes no literal sense in this context.
And you were the one complaining that the CAD doesn't have identical purchasing power to the USD, so it's pretty clear that you either don't realize each country uses it's own currency, or don't understand the concept of currency at all.
