The scary part is that there are a lot more casual gamers than there are hardcore gamers. If it does succeed then there's a good chance Sony, Nintendo and MS could follow in later generations, leaving us out in the cold.
The casuals may buy it just because it's Google.
You have to hold the options button. And as far as I can tell "dismantle" is more like destroy since you cant seem to pick up and re-use.
@shaggy2303
Yeh here in America it's a very real problem like they say. We are 3rd world when it comes to internet speeds and bandwidth.
While I dont fully agree with everything you said, you did make some good points. Hardly earning the 20+ disagrees.
But OT, I do agree it's the future, eventually. We just arent there yet thanks to the 100% BS bandwidth caps.
I can relate to this experience. Back when I was using Gamefly I gave up on Demon Souls fairly quickly. Later when Dark Souls was out I gave it a shot up until I made the return trip to Undead Aslyum, rather too soon apparently. The Stray Demon kicked my ass repeatedly and I finally ejected the disc, sealed it in the return Gamefly enveloped and walked it out to mailbox. 30 minutes later I grabbed it from the mailbox, ripped it open, popped it in the PS3 and defeated the Stray Demon. I was ab...
About the same here. ME2 was one of my all time favorites. ME3's original conclusion left a little something to be desired but I was still ok with it - the "corrected" ending(s) even more so. BUT GEEZ I couldn't even finish the slog that was Andromeda. Different team, different game.
They did. But either way games are growing larger by the year and bandwidth isn't getting any cheaper.
I'm happy to hear that. The general consensus from most seems to be repulsion, but then again most haven't played it. I agree that the character models come across as very generic but I can get over that easily if it's fun.
Not many games have I loved enough to go back and beat on its highest difficulty but this was certainly one of them. Soooooo looking forward to TLoU 2.
Absolutely agree. $399 will have me likely buying it. RE7 on my PSVR was one of the best gaming experiences I had honestly had in a decade or longer but for $400 bucks I can go wireless and get even better graphics out of it? Count me in.
@DarkVoyager
That sounds like it could be any day then...
Any word on when we will see reviews?
Yeh I'd probably blindly jump on it if it were maybe $125 without even having tried it, but close to $400 dollars? I'd have to test it first and be absolutely blown away to buy it.
Maybe you just like the setting more? The setting though (just compared to the souls' setting) and lack of enemy variety is what weakened Nioh for me towards the end, plus the replaying of the same areas for new rewards. I did however LOVE Nioh right up until I hit that certain point.
Thanks for bringing to my attention Death's Gambit. Hadn't heard of it and it looks good. Dark Souls meets Castlevania.
Lol, nailed it.
Yeh agreed. Souls games are just as much about the atmosphere as it is the challenge. The souls-like games cant seem to hit both notes.
I loved Nioh for a while but it wore on me towards the end. Replaying the same areas over and over just for new rewards and the lack of enemy variety was the "soul" reason I got tired of it.
"quests are given out largely through holotapes, notes [and] terminals" - largely meaning mostly but not all. Bioshock only had a few NPCs so Fallout shouldn't face much of a challenge meeting or exceeding that if that's what you're worried about.
I didn't even play my first Civ until Civ IV. Once I persevered through the initial learning curve I was done for. 100s and 100s of hours in Civ since then.
