It was my biggest disappointment of the year alright, well that and Cyberpunk. Had tons of fun with WD2 but this one was just missing SO much. Total downgrade in the fun dept.
Definitely. Really fun and hasn't been anything quite like it since.
Gives me that Singularity vibe.
@RazzerRedux and Sonic-and-Crash
Same body types, so it's easy enough
I didn't realize it was a roguelike. No roguelike has kept my attention like Dead Cells. Fingers crossed this is the next one to do so!
You aren't kidding. I had to power through it too. I enjoyed it for a good while but nearing the end I just wanted to be free of it and move on to something else. Went straight to Red Dead Redemption 2 from my backlog. Love it.
Night and day between the 2 open worlds. One feels truly alive while the other is Cyberpunk.
I agree about Dishonored and must also recommend Prey. That and Dishonored are 2 reasons I really trust Arkane Studios. Great developer.
I got lucky and got a ps5 on launch but I must admit I bought a PS3 from a scalper at it's launch. I know how how badly someone can want something to the point of fixation, where you cave and pay way too much.
I wish they would make scalping illegal TBH.
Or a re-release 10 years from now for the exact same price.
I'm glad it won't be a cross-gen title and I'm hoping this "underground" they speak of means that there will be zeldaesque dungeons.
That was the big DING against the game for me. I think without the motion controls it'll be even better, if not MUCH better.
Oh that's the best comment ;)
I'm over 80 hours in and still having lots of fun with it.
I loved this game.
@garethvk
Thanks for the info. I just don't get all of these left 4 dead type games that totally leave out the best part of left 4 dead - 2 teams against each, one being the creatures/monsters etc.
It's basically just horde mode if you don't have an opposing team.
Is it like left 4 dead in that there is a human team and the opponent is a human-played creature team? Or is it basically just another horde mode game where you can't play the enemy?
I feel bad for everyone who got screwed with the last gen versions because I'm loving the game and feel like a lot of people are missing out on a great experience. I also had normal expectations though. Witcher 3 was good but 1 and 2 were just ok with a lot to be desired. Too many people expected the 2nd coming of Christ from a team that has a small resume.
All of that aside though the absolutely deceptive crap they pulled by concealing the ps4 and Xbox versions is jus...
It's worth if you have a 3080 or 3090 and yes you can tell easily if you're playing it with all the different forms of RT going. Watching videos doesn't convey how much more natural things look with RT. Before CP2007 came along RT just didn't jump out to me as worth it but my mind has definitely hanged.
Same here. I'm already 30 hours into it but I just keep getting side tracked with fun side missions and gigs. I've barely scratched the main missions.
"Sato: Even long before Ghost of Tsushima, I did want to release “samurai” games like Kenzan and Ishin in the West. Unfortunately, after Yakuza 0, we were very busy with remastering the numbering Yakuza titles for the PS4, so we missed the opportunity to work on some of these other games."
The remasters strike again. Easy cash is like a brick wall to new releases.
