Have you ever heard the phrase "the writing is on the wall"? Kojima probably told Konami he wanted to work on a new IP and they were like "no, but you can make a silent hill if you want. And then he started to and was like... You know what, fuck this." Toward the end of PT's development, his frusteration mounted to the point where it was inescapable. So he put a clue in there knowing full well he may be leaving the company at the end of MGS5.

I think it's true. And i think "bring my new toys with me" could be referencing the Fox Engine. Maybe he's gonna claim legal right to its use outside konami. What else could toys mean?

You know what would be cool? If Warner Brothers bought the rights and made a game at Warner interactive and tied it in with a reboot of the film series

Nice. The good news is that if kojima and del toro want to make a game together they can set it up elsewhere. Bethesda, for example.

While i agree that prerendered trailers can be misleading, this one didnt bother me and shouldnt become the poster boy for whats wrong with this practice. if the final game ends up looking close then it's water under the bridge. On the other hand Ubisoft shows "in engine footage" that might as well be considered cinematics by the time of release. That is a far worse practice if you ask me. At least this didn't claim to show gameplay quality if it wasnt finalized yet.

Is it no longer fashionable to troll driveclub threads with references to sony's false advertising about psplus? Are we over that now?

I am incredibly impressed by the game. I bought it for PS3 but the frame rate was killing me. Turned out my PS3 was on the way out around this time so I'm not sure if that was partially to blame for the poor performance but it was not pretty to me. But on PC, I find the weak writing and bad pacing tolerable due to the beauty of the world. It runs flawlessly 60fps on my 970 as I'd hoped so I can't fault Rockstar in any way. Was super impressed by the Max Payne 3 pc release as ...

Shenmue is a rose tinted experience for me. I wouldnt change it for the world, but the thought of playing it now seems like purely an exercise in nostalgia. The game is quite tedius if you ignore the graphics and tech which were a huge selling point when it originally released.

What are you a lawyer?

Yes and what's going to happen is that game makers will start to build in steam machine type settings. They will try to make sure there is a 1080 60fps configuration that will fly on these things (even a lower end steam machine). if consumers know they can pay another $150 and get way better settings, a lot of people will do it.

What a whiny ass article. Dont be a baby. If you got the dough to spend then buy or build a serious rig. These cost about a thousand dollars but run everything about twice as well. If youre serious about gaming then stop looking at things through the console price structure that you are hung up on. If you dont care about next level graphical quality then stick with PS4. They will continue to shovel 30fps cinematic shit down your throat. And honestly, i love those games. Im a fan of The Order...

Where the FUCK is the ps plus version we were promised. This sort of thing bothers me. There should be more media controversy about it.

I just hate to see good devs bottlenecked. But obviously, the market is what it is, hardware wise, and ready at dawn CHOSE to go this route of increased graphical fidelity at a smaller size. Cant fault anyone really. My issue is purely with people claiming this is indicative of the ps4 hardware unless you are gambling on an 800p future

I have an issue with people saying this game bodes well for the future of ps4. 800p display area and 30fps is not great for your console. If this game was on PC we'd be removing the black bars like Evil Within and running it at 60fps. The Order is beautiful and its 30fps is perhaps the smoothest around, buy lets keep things in perspective.
