The reason I use uncharted 4 as an example is that it is Sony's flagship title and their most important developer was unable to deliver a game at 60 frames a second 1080P even though they they were shooting for that (they claimed)
Look no further than Uncharted 4's technical spec to see what the real deci$ion maker was about the ps4's architecture
Something is weird here. Shawn Murray went on the colbert show. They did LATE NIGHT PRESS for this game and it turns out to be 8 months off still. James Cameron aint going in Jimmy Kimmel to talk about Avatar 3 yet
im aware it's the one im least likely to buy. but i hope they prove me wrong
Sounds like they're building a shit sandwich.
Maybe book tickets on the titanic while you're at it
Interesting. He said they passed up on other AAA projects to do it. I automatically assumed that meant new IP, but i think you're right. Otherwise he wouldn't have said "project(s)"
Naughty dog's community rep went on the record saying the Bluepoint had options besides the uncharted remaster, but perhaps the deal was too sweet to pass up iand the relationship with Sony too strong. Remakes, remasters and sequels are a good way for some talented developers to get their feet in the door with some major publishers who might then afford them larger risks down the road. It's not all bad.
He's right, i don't want it. I would see it day 1 out of curiousity, but i don't want it.
Great article. I plan on checking some of these out now. Particularly BombermanTouch Land! 2 or whatever it was called
This is insanity. Ps4 can barely run ONE instance of Until Dawn. That game is a slide show
I'm going to play 0gb of it
Supposed*
No offline mode= i want my money back. I will play this beta the weekend of its release and then return it for a full refund.
Lonely Sock's Slow 'Bater
I have no confidence that ps4 can run vr for big time games. Uncharted 4, their flagship game got stuck at 30fps. What we're going to see on PS4 VR are niche experiences. I hope im wrong though.
"10 out of 10" Moby Dick. One of the best books ever made. Period.
MEGATON.
Uncharted 3 was, as one neogaf user put it, "janky as fuck." You could just tell different team members had worked on it. I was praying for this.
Breathtaking
I wish licensed work like this would start going to smaller indie developers. 1 year ago they could say: here's 300,000. Make us a game that is not super high tech but is interesting and fun. Perhaps a retro style platformer. Dump it on the app store, for free-1.99 with some IAP. Pay apple to get front page app store coverage, that's huge promitional ad space.
Boom, now for probably lesss than 500k you have a great big ad, a more accessable game in more hands (t...
