LittleBigPlanet came out 2 days before the end of October, and its momentum was admittedly killed by delays, shipping issues, and server problems at launch and I didn't even start seeing commercials for the game during shows like The Daily Show and South Park until the first week of November, so I expect that LittleBigPlanet is a title that will only pique the interest of more non-PS3 owners...

OK, seriously, enough with the barbs about how it's not good enough and Sony isn't/can't/won't beat Microsoft. I don't even care, because I'm enjoying some ridiculously fun games on my PS3 and that's all that matters. My purchase has been justified 100 times over.

That's the value of all of the DLC for Need For Speed, all of which is ALREADY ON THE DISC. They're charging you double for the game! It's pathetic. Everybody should boycott this product. They shouldn't get away with putting all of that content on the disc and making you pay for the game all over again (tax included) just to access half the content on the disc.
It doesn't matter how many copies of LittleBigPlanet were sold on the first day, the first week, the first month, even the first year.
The game is going to have legs. It will never sell a million in one like Gears of War, Fallout, Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Madden, etc. It's a game that will sell consistently and well for a good couple of years at least. The bubble shield is not a rip off, and neither is the "saw mounted weapon." Like it or not, the first game to have an effective bubbleshield that the player could actually use was Resistance 1. The saw mounted gun is nothing like the chainsaw gun in Gears of War, either, and you'd know that if you actually played the game rather than bashing it. The gun actually fires small sawblades that repeatedly rip apart the enemy it's fired at.

Meh. The graphics aren't that good. The textures are pretty low-res and blurry, and the polygon makeup of the "blocks" he's using for cover are pretty weird looking. Yeah Pansenbear, you're absolutely right. In the credits to Resistance 2 when you beat the game, it just lists every member of the team in alphabetical order. Doesn't even mention what anybody did, it's just straight up equal props to all team members. Insomniac is absolutely one of the best groups of people making videogames these days. Just all around good people, good talent, and a good company.
OK, now I realize they're of different genres, but... Banjo Kazooie gets a higher score than Resistance 2? Are they on crack? Resistance 2 is a far better than 6 out of 10 game. FAR better. That is just an obscenely low score.
And a 9 out of 10 for Left 4 Dead? That game is no better than Resistance 2. Not saying it's worse, either, but it doesn't have as much to offer as Resistance 2, despite that what it does offer is done very well.
And a 7 for Fallout 3...
