Agreed.
This game has taken up about 40 hours of my time since November 4. And I also bought LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Valkyria Chronicles. And yet Resistance 2 is seeing the vast majority of my attention.
It's simply addictive: I love the XP system, leveling up and earning new equipment should be implemented in more games of this genre! This game is good fun.
I agree: there is NO REASON not to. If they don't put it in, especially knowing that people want it, then they are doing it either to be pricks on purpose or because they are lazy. I hope they are neither and they utilize the disc space and put both languages on.
Every other review I've read puts it at between 90 minutes and 2 hours. But GameDaily says 5 hours? Somehow I believe all the others before I believe GameDaily.
This game is SMALL. It is SHORT. That's all there is to it.
But then again, you could the original Super Mario Bros. in less than an hour. It's the fun factor and replay value that really matter in all honesty.
I agree with Silogon here. This game is light on content, and what it does have isn't even nearly as great as people make it out to be. I'll stick with Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2, this game doesn't offer me enough that those two don't, so why am I going to even bother? (by the way, I'm basing my opinion on the demo + the reviews I've read, I haven't played all four of these short-ass missions, but you better believe I know what I can expect)
Well, this is clearly only listing unannounced games, but why are they ALL games that will be on Microsoft's console? Every one is either going to be a 360 exclusive or a multiplatform game. Why doesn't this website devote any thought to predicting games that could be PS3 exclusives?
PS3 exclusive series that have not really been announced and could come in 2009:
Ratchet & Clank
Uncharted
Gran Turismo
That's all I wanted to say...
To all those who disagree with my above statement, I implore you: please, explain yourself. Am I wrong?
Hey, Jenzo, not only if you had been playing Resistance 2 would you realize how Ted Price and co. KNOW HOW to make compelling multiplayer experiences... but if you had been reading the reviews, you'd know it, too, because that is the feature of R2 that 95% of reviewers agree is where it is a high quality title. Most of the qualms with R2 seem to be with the campaign, not the co-op and the competitive multiplayer.

Reviewers are all a bunch of hyper-critical biased jackasses with no creativity of their own, and I wish they'd just shut the f*ck up with their worthless opinions.
And just because I feel like it, let me respond with my own opinion to all the reviewers who criticized Resistance 2 and praised Gears of War 2 to the heavens:
You have no idea what fun is and you don't give equal chances to all games you review. It's obvious from how many falsities are stated in th...
"Resistance 2 had weird AI flaws, it seems they only centered on you and never attacked your teammates. "
Oh and that doesn't happen in ... hmm let's see, just about every other game ever made?
Edit: Oh, and by the way, when you say "it seems," you were right on the money, because they do NOT "never attack your teammates." They do in fact attack your teammates. And your teammates attack them. There are numerous scenarios in the g...
In my opinion, the grief just needs to correspond to a level of maturity. If there is nudity, language, violence/blood, whatever, in the level, then let the grief ratings reflect this and contribute to a maturity score. Parents can then pre-set what is the maximum maturity-score a level can have in order for their kids to play on it. Just like the PS3 console has levels of appropriateness for all games and the parents can set a password-protected maximum level so kids can't play inappropr...
I clicked "agree" on your comment because your argument makes sense, but I still stand by my own argument, as well. There was a huge load on the servers with that, but the stuff being uploaded for Halo 3 is actually a lot smaller than for LittleBigPlanet. The Forge content is actually pretty basic because you can't really edit the maps, you can just add some menial obstacles and stuff and that's about it. You can't change the overall appearance or layout of the levels. In Little...
Sounds like a rumor to me, why is this under news?
Remember in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, where they talked about Metroid Dread being near completion? Yeah, they were just playing around, sort of an inside joke, the game isn't actually coming.
I have a feeling this is similar. Why the hell would they be working on sequels to all of those games simultaneously (especially Grabbed by the Ghoulies, which I'm relatively certain nobody cared about then and nobody c...
How exactly is this a 360 thread? Look at the tags: Playstation 3 | Xbox 360. Both are listed. It's about a comparison between 360 and PS3. Therefore, it is not solely an Xbox 360 thread. Basically, it's a flame-on thread.
As much as I love my PS3 and the games available for it, and as much of a value as I believe the console offers for the price it costs (and I'm more than happy with my purchase of the machine at 500 bucks)... I do agree. I believe that dropping the price by 100 dollars would MORE THAN double their sales. The demand is there for the PS3, this was proven by how well it has sold in comparison to the competition despite being a higher priced product with fewer available games and less aggressiv...
Actually, LittleBigPlanet and Socom have nothing to do with PSN.
Warhawk & Resistance 2 work great, and they've probably had far more people playing online at once time than either Socom or LBP.
Socom was some kind of issue that I'm not too familiar with, so I won't comment.
LBP is a complex mechanism, you know. It's all the user created content that is stored on servers that probably bogged everything down. You don't see anything on the Xbox...
A lot of people have crapped on IGN for a long long time, but they've been the only site I go to since the PSone era. I always hated GameSpot, but I admit that the original reason I hated them was because of their site layout in the 90's. I bet many here don't remember that far back, but if you wanted to find a review, you just got a big list of gamers in a tiny box with a scroll bar (all consoles included, no category separation, and no search tool), and it was a royal pain in the butt to ...
I played the demo and I must say, this game has by far the worst presentation in videogame history.
That sounds like hyperbole, but it seriously isn't. The tutorials are a chore, the menus load slow as hell, the audio is barren and lifeless, some scenes are skippable, some aren't, and most dialogue is written in a hard to read font, very very small, and moves at its own pace, often times faster than I could read it because I had trouble distinguishing words in the font and siz...
Edit:
Doesn't the article say they already have whatever the surprise is? So I'd say it's in the form of some kind of download they were given priority access to it. Co-op beta sounds logical, to me.
Omodis, I'm not sure what you're getting at by saying "what a shocker" ... but let me say this, THANK YOU to Sarcastic Gamer for publishing this article. I agree with every word of it.
And people complained about Sony's advertising (freaky baby, thumb/penis guy, what have you) ??? This really takes the cake in terms of the "holy crap you just convinced me NOT to buy your product!" factor.
