That boss battle was so intense, it was awesome!
OPEN WORLD Action RPG with a day/night cycle, etc. according to the fact sheet. This game is stunning. That boss battle they showed was white-knuckle, intense, AWESOME. Loved every second of it!
I like how you mentioned Halo 5, Tomb Raider, Forza 6, and Gears 4, all games from last year's E3, and didn't mention Uncharted 4, Street Fighter V, or No Man's Sky, the games that Sony brought back from last year.
ShenMue 3 is not mentioned as timed exclusive, it's coming to PC and PS4 according to the developers. Who cares if it's on Kickstarter? It's going to get funded, it's already almost there in less than a couple of hours! That means tha...
@kneon: You make an excellent point. Spread the exclusives throughout the dry months, as Sony has done, and then let all the huge multiplatform games command your attention in the Holiday season. It's a pretty good plan. It doesn't help that it gives Microsoft the bullet point for more exclusives in the holidays, but I think it's worth it when throughout the entire year you've got game after game after game coming out, and you've spread out the experiences for your game...
This demo was absolutely freaking amazing. Breathtaking!
Yeah, no thanks, the existing controller suits me just fine.
It was a fairly weak conference, because they didn't announce many *new* (not previously announced) games.
Gears 4 looks *amazing*, I'm super excited for that. Everything else looks typical.
The game "Recore" has great devs behind it, but what even is the game? As far as I'm concerned, that was about as exciting of an announcement as when Sony announced that Michel Ansel game "Wild" at last year's E3. Ok, neat, a gam...
Looks better than I thought it would. Reminds me of a mix of Rage and Red Faction Guerilla, which were both good.
Thanks for the answers guys! In that case, I'll definitely give this one a try. Are there any other recent ones that I should check out? Isn't there one called Tales of Xilia or something along those lines coming out in October? Is that one a sequel or a new one?
Looks cool. Do I need to have played all the other Tales games to play this? The only ones I've ever played are Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia, long time ago.
$39.99 and coming September 8 in North America. That's fantastic! Ratchet & Clank will be $40 as well. I love that Sony is exploring this price point for retail games. These both looks amazing.
You know, that's a good point. I didn't follow the news that closely in April after NPD, but I had been curious why the X1 outsold the PS4, it seemed random. The Batman PS4 bundle had just been announced, so you're probably right that a large amount of PS4 sales were "offset" that month when people decided to pre-order the bundle rather than buy the PS4 then and there. In that case, PS4 should have a damn big June, yeah?
@TRU3_GAM3R: I'm not sure about Ryse, but I do know that the other 3 games there are perfectly reasonable to petition to release on other machines, because none of those IPs are owned by Microsoft, they COULD be on PS4 if the property holders wanted to do so. Not quite the same as asking for Bloodborne on PC when everyone should understand that it's Sony's IP, not From Software's. I don't know if Ryse is owned by MS, though, if it is, then that's a good example from ...
What a stupid decision from Microsoft, in my opinion. You get a lot of positive publicity and word of mouth by announcing something fan/consumer friendly and unexpected like this, then you go and destroy it by taking it away? Take the infinitesimally small hit to your bottom line and just ROLL WITH IT. How is it worth it to destroy good publicity and replace it with bad publicity? Even though it wasn't the original plan and the announcement was a mistake, just rolling with it would ha...
YESSSSS!
This game is going to be freaking awesome. The Ratchet & Clank Future games on PS3 were among my favorites of last generation. This game turning out to be a new, original title and not just a slightly different remake of the original PS2 game is music to my ears, as well. So glad we're getting this awesome game. I was gonna play it even if it was just the original PS2 game remade for a modern era, but since this is a totally new game that will pay homage ...
I want split screen!! My wife and I play Halo split-screen all the time, one of the few games she likes to play with me, so please let us have it!
Damn! I forgot how long that Hades battle was. Haven't played this game in years... I remember that battle being very difficult on the hardest difficulty. I almost gave up at one point. I think when I play the remastered game I'll skip the highest difficulty and not try for another platinum, haha. That game was freaking hard.
I have had no confidence in Famitsu reviews since they gave Demon's Souls 29/40 (6/7/7/9) and Quantum Theory 31/40 (8/8/8/7). What a joke.
Huh. Wasn't expecting a sidescroller, but it looks really awesome. Love the art style and the graphics, the gameplay looks really visceral and the platforming looks like it could actually be pretty good. It kind of reminds me of God of War in 2 dimensional gameplay. Interesting. Is this going to be a downloadable game (meaning, not released at retail stores)?
PS4 exclusives (of various severity, some of these are coming to PC or PS3/Vita, etc., one of them (Legend of Kay) is coming to Wii U, but none of these are on Xbox One, the PS4's primary competitor) that will be coming out this year. The asterisk means it's a full retail release:
Planetside 2 (June 23)
*J-Stars Victory Vs+ (June 30)
*Legend of Kay Anniversary (June 30)
*Onechanbara Z2: Chaos (June 30)
Rocket League (July 7)
*D...
