This game does look good, but if I am not mistake EA has a hand somewhere in this and I am very apprehensive when there name comes up linked to a game.
The premise seems cool tho, and the production value also looks to be top notch. I will let one of my fellow PS3 owner buy it before I spend my money on it tho, just in case they try any funny business like they did with Madden among others.
MS is not big in Japan, and the taste of the gamers over there is different. To point out Halo 3 poor performance in Japan is a bit messed up, but I guess in all fairness to not report it would be a form of censorship. Interesting how Dragon Ball has been popular for so long in Japan, I guess they can't get enough of Goku.
Probably an honest mistake, no system is perfect.
Seems this game is a bit off the beaten path, which is a good thing. There is nothing like a good RPG to pass the time when you want a more mellow experience. I think this game suffers from our culture of instant gratification, rarely are people willing to give something time and a fair chance. If something doesn't give up the goods instantly then it must be the games fault.
Many people disagreed but I believe that this was the case with Lair, it was something a bit new and Fac...
I quote from one of the more lovable contributors on this site....
"AI will never get to the thinking level of an actual human."
Other famous quotes...
"KZ2 will never look as good as the target E3 trailer."
"The war in Iraq will not last more than 6 months."
"With compression techniques one DVD is enough for any game developers want to make."
Etc, etc, etc.
AI is more important than people think,...
The 40 gig would be good for people who are new to the PS family of products, if you have no PS2 games and none interest you, then why spend extra money to have a feature that you wont use. On the other hand BC does bolster the PS3's library far beyond any of the other consoles out now.
I guess it boils down to your needs and what type of gamer you are, if your new to the hobby, then get the 40 gig, save some money and enjoy the new games and BD movies. If your hardcore PS2 fan...
How anyone could claim to be able to tell the difference between the two on such a poor video quality comparison. From what can be seen, they both do look similar, and the differences are minimal. Online is sweet, but if it wasn't meant to be for the PS3 it wasn't meant to be.
Good game overall, 360 fans of fighting games should enjoy it.
I am a PS3 owner, but I do think some games on the 360 are interesting, the thing is they had good games on the original XBOX too, but they dropped it and left many XBOX owners in the process. by choosing only one console you do lose out on something but, I value my money and from the PS1 days Sony has served me well, with their continued product support even after a new console was introduced.
Your point is well taken to a certain extent, but if you look at reality, at this p...
While I do agree that perhaps the gun was jumped as to the content of your comment, there are a lot of people on this site that troll all news in an effort to shed some negative light on an opposing console.
Reading your comment again, the beginning was of it seemed very flame ridden, but I guess there is certain things that can be lost in the written forms of communication that make certain comments seem off.
As for your comment about not having a go with you, I am sure your a ...
I don't even know what got into this kid, but it was very entertaining. Didn't even have anything do do with the topic at hand. Just goes to show that mental disorders affect more families than conventional wisdom would have us believe.
Good response buddy, very superficial with very little substance, just like all your other buddies. Proves my point excellently.
Get over myself? I will when someone comes and tells me why my argument above is wrong, if people agree with me thats not my problem. At least I walk the walk and don't troll 360 post looking for a reason to leave negative comments.
And if I am so one sided then you should check out my comment about UT3 when the rumor of the 360 cancelation was floatin...
GamePro has to pay the bills too, so they need to do stories such as this to remain a credible publication. I agree that not much was revealed, but its all part of the PR game for both developers and gaming publications.
My thoughts on KZ2 are as follows, they seem to be hinting that Liberation was a success and they are expanding what we saw on that to KZ2. The Halo effect is still relevant and most FPS have co-op so I don't see why KZ2 would not, co-op has always been fun (See. Contr...
MS has a monopoly on most of the operating systems used today even though they have an inferior product, not to mention they are the largest recipient of government subsidies since the auto industry.
This argument of MS being an underdog is the same excuse people like David Duke use to justify a racist agenda for the preservation of the white race against the dark skinned threat. MS is far from an underdog, and if that notion makes you feel like you need to support them over Sony then ...
Are the way to tell a systems capabilities, and thats a fact. You ask any developer and they will most likely tell you that working with only one console frees them up to do so much more. Developers are human beings and have to make sacrifices in order to get their product out on time and at a certain level of quality (This is an exception in EAs case). The mentality is to try and get the product similar on each console and deliver as close an experience as possible (See. Oblivion for the PS3...
If the games are due out at the same time or close to the same time, would it be good business to make the PS3 version look better than the 360 version? With all the brand loyalty and petitions going around, I am sure that if they stated that one version was superior to another there would be some price to pay as far as sales to the fringe element.
Business wise, for now at least, it makes more sense to just make the games as similar as possible. That will probably change in time, but ...
What in the HE!! does this have to do with anyone appeasing the PS3 fanbase?
Trolls come out of every crevice on N4G, you are pathetic. Why can't you just be happy that a classic is being revived, a game that holds fond memories for all old school gamers.
Its people like you who take the quality of the comments on this site and drag them through the gutter. Thanks.....
I will now demonstrate that all the things that come out your mouth amount to what my neighbors dog leaves in the yard every morning. Explain this to me so I may better understand.
-How is the online portion of MGS4 failing when the game has not been released yet?
-What box are you talking about? There are barrels in the new game, and if they are boxes, there is no need to use them if you don't feel like it.
-So what you have outlined is your dislike for the game in gene...
Not one thoughtful reply from the usual trolls. sjappie and Jay3 completely ignore the point at hand to spew more nonsense. I was talking about the people who come here just to bash a game they have not played just because they don't own a certain system.
How lame are these responses? I guess when you lose a bubble but have no credible counter arguments it goes to show that most 360 trolls don't want to add anything productive to the conversation, they just come on this site to quell t...
Trolls aside, consider the facts that we know about this generation of gaming. There is a lot more to take into account when making a game on the PS3 (and other "next-gen" consoles). There is the sound design to take advantage of more sophisticated surround sound systems, there is the visuals and art which have to be a notch above due to the high level of interactivity and detail. There is the need to innovate on things such as controls etc., and a whole list of other factors that h...
This game seems to be shaping up well. Many influences from other franchises found in this game, one to watch.
