The FPS category is saturated right now and the popularity of these games is a good and a bad thing for developers.
Good thing because if you make a good game it will most likely get attention because of the popularity of FPS, bad for developers because if you make something horrible, there is a lot of competition for the money of consumers.

This list is limited, they left out quite a few games. Personal choice I guess but some of the games were glaring omissions on their part.
He was brutal, but I don't know if being a 360 fan or not had to do with how he felt about the game, it is a multiplat game after all. I'm interested in seeing more reviews tho, just to see how they all mesh. Reviews are ok as references, but the reviewers are people just like you and I, meaning, take everything with a grain of salt.

Its a classic franchise that is going back to the basics, and sometimes in all honesty that is needed. Although if you have been following the news on this game, you would be aware that there are other more strategic modes included too. DM is a standard mode, so you could make the statement you just did about virtually any shooter on the market.

I see. I guess we will have to wait and see. MGS games tend to be on the long side too, so it might be a combination of a few factors that make BluRay a bit more desirable. However, its all speculation I guess, we will all have to wait and see what Kojima has in store for PS3 owners.

It goes without saying that depending on the game, the requirements are going to be different, and perhaps you have to take into account what the vision for the game is. Your entitled to your opinion, but it seems to me like you might be upset with EPIC because the 360 version is coming out sometime later.
I have been saying this for months, the PS3 is right on par with the 360 at exactly this point in its life span. I believe many of the critics and media have lost perspective, the 360 is a year older so you would expect the user base to be bigger, the real test is the long run and the converts.
This price change and the games that are left to be released this year should have interesting consequences.
But doesn't uncompressed sound tend to be better? If they are going for the "Theater" feel that the PS3 was compared to by Kojima, sound would be a huge part of that, and if that means having most or all of it uncompressed then I think its worth doing. There is nothing worse than a game with inconsistent components, if your going to do it, do it all the way.
Though I own a PS3 and and have been a Sony supporter since the PS1, longer if you count all my TVs, companies really say anything they want when they want. As unlikely as it might seem, multiple disks is an option for this game if given enough time, does Konami want to do that? Who knows. They could also release a Twin Snakes type deal like they did for the GameCube, maybe an extended and enhanced edition of MGS 3 for the 360.

These are the games that sell to the masses, shooters are popular. Sony 1st party and 2nd party developers are rounding out the new IP's like LBP, EOJ, Uncharted, etc. Now if you look at it from a gamers perspective, if you get most of the games that are on the 360 along with content that you wont find on any other system its a win, win for the consumer.

Did they do the same thing for the PS3 threads? If so then it seems fair and makes sense to me, if they are only forbidding posting of bad news about the 360 that is sad, and it does beg the question of wether there is more to the story.
I would be curious to find out if this is a rule on all their threads, or only on select ones.
