Get it through your head, PCs are upgradable. Owning a PC doesn't make you special. Get over it!

I love heated discussion and differences of opinion without the blatant and immature insults that are sometimes thrown around on this site. Bazookajoe, you are 100% correct in your assertion that there are fanatics on both sides and I would say that it is irrational both ways.

My point was that if your positively have an uncontrollable need to be a "FANBOY" (lol), then the Sony supporters logically have a much stronger case based on the companies past performance and se...

The game is well known to be close to being finished, we have extensive game play footage and a few story details to put the game in context, the only thing left to do would be to delve into the story and possibly ruin it for everyne.
I say its past the time to show and its time for Konami to polish and release (LOL, sounds nasty), but you know what I mean. Bring it on.

Many 360 fans were looking forward to this, hopefully with the interest that was obviously generated with the mistaken slide it will push them to revisit the KOTOR series for all the fans to enjoy.

rumble/achievements shouldn't be forgotten either.

Buy you have to be clearer about what you mean when you say POP IN AND PLAY. Because if you mean installing some data then we have all been duped as the 360 and PS3 install updates and require a HD to play some games, i.e. Burnout Paradise.

Now if you mean POP IN AND PLAY as in I have a console and I don't have to worry about my setup because its STANDARDIZED unlike a PC then all consoles have and do provide this. The installation doesn't take away from the fact that you can play...

Loading times in game between chapters or a ONE TIME installation of 5 gigs of data? There is a difference between the two, and presumably with the 5 gigs of data the PS3 version loads faster than the 360 version.

Just didn't know what your talking about as you seem to use the two terms interchangeably.

Haha, perhaps we should go back to cartridges, they were faster than any dist based console, ridiculous. In time this will become more common and god help those who h...

I'm just glad my 20 gig has all the original hardware I need to run the old PS2 games, I still have a SH*T load of PS2 games I haven't gotten to like OKAMI and Dragon Quest, you get the picture.

Thought I do believe that the hard core PS fan that really wants BC already has a PS3 with the feature, though people who have children will miss out on the rich family friendly list of titles the PS2 had.

It seems to me that in the end the PS2 is still so popular that to not...

How does installing make the Cell look weak when the PC, ARGUABLY the standard setter of graphics for many years has been installing games onto the HD for a long time?

I don't even know if the Cell has anything to do with the reason why you need to install a game onto the HD, maybe someone could clarify for me.

The jury is still out, and this installation issue is fairly new in the console industry. I bet 2 to 3 years down the road PS3 owners will be happy that Sony ...

I guess people don't like to be inconvenienced, but just as a reminder, once you install this data onto your HD the first time, that is it. Its not like every time you play the game you have to do this.

On to my point. Now someone please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have read, the read speed on a BD is a bit slower than that of a DVD, which is not surprising given the amount of data a BD can hold. That being true, then it goes without saying that if the game didn't u...

They sure have excellent forward vision at insomniac. Makes sense for them to develop and engine that they can use for their current and future gaming needs, that is probably what saves money and time in R&D later down the road.

Being exclusive to Sony really has allowed them to make some great technological strides with each of their games, the amount of things they are trying to pack into R2 is astonishing. Can't wait.

Now all I need is a progress report of Kil...

I lived in Diego for years bro, Lived in La Mesa and went to SDSU. Add me bro, PSN: Tashito.

By the way, EB games is only a good place to buy games bro, those guys know sh!t about gaming, sad really. I am a very informed consumer to when I go into these stores I usually get what I need and leave. I have had a few times when I have been forced to set some people straight but its rare.

It is true tho, these people are informing the public and have no idea what they are...

Good point, as far as I know, more storage space is never a bad thing. Just like car insurance you don't wait to buy it when you get into an accident, you get it before so you are covered if and when an accident occurs, so why would you wait and add more storage when you need it? As you can see that isn't practical in the console industry where you can't upgrade every minute like a PC so I see no logic in your point.

And being a movie player works for what Sony was trying to do, ...

You make some good points but fail to mention some key points.
A) Blu-Ray players also upscale regular DVDs, so I fail to see you even putting this as a point, perhaps you just didn't do your research on this point or perhaps you thought no one would catch that.

B) Apple is releasing BD enabled laptops in the near future, I think I heard other companies are too. I believe that with computer applications the increased storage space of BD might be a better fit in the long run...

When the PS4 is out. It is well known that the PS2 ushered in the widespread acceptance of DVD, but at the time people were upset because they thought it wasn't needed. Same thing with the PS3, the importance of Blu-ray will not be appreciated until later down the road when we see games taking up 45 gigs and more.
The media and in fact many people tend to be myopic when it comes to technology in consoles, if they don't see the use for something right away it is deemed as useless, then l...

Such hate for PS HOME, and the think hasn't even been finalized yet.
Sad when people judge others, this guy is kinda pathetic. Many would say that video games are a waste of time but many people enjoy it, it is none of his business how people choose to spend their time or their money.
Guess he is entitled to his opinion, he just comes across as kinda sour and angry.

Very good read. It seems like things that were thought to be useless this generation are turning out to be a good thing (Blu-ray, HDD). I wonder how many more developers will find the PS3 feature helpful in the coming months.

Its funny how serious people take this, can't even have a decent conversation without people attacking your bubbles. At least if I take someone's bubbles I am man enough to state why and identify myself.

This site is full of unintelligent cowards who have nothing constructive to say but don't like to hear anything detracting from their beloved console. Its really sad.

I hooked you up brother, as I do with anyone that makes a good point. You'll get your bubbles up in ...

So was this rumor started on a blog on N4G or a story was posted? In other words, if it was a story someone posted with a link to another site then that site is actually spreading false rumors, if it was a blog on N4G then those should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Either way it would seem to me that PSU would have the burden of proving the rumor correct or incorrect before they posted it lest they make a mistake like obviously happened.

If it was just one user ...
