I would say the add on would cost $250 to $300 at the least because MS would need to pass the licensing fees they would have to pay Sony onto the consumers. Basically short of them releasing some magical system where you can download BD quality movies onto your 360 and that really takes off in a major way, the fact remains that MS will end up with egg on its face wether it releases a BD add-on or not.

I think that other than people who already have a 360, even if MS came out with a BD add-on, if someone is looking for a BD enabled system they would still go with the PS3.
The PS3 would be cheaper and the BD capabilities would be built in from the start. I don't know but for me add-ons are not slick at all.
Come to think of it, depending on the price, this add on would nullify any advantage in price the 360 had. You buy an Elite for $350 to $400 and add another $20...
Funny to note that most of the games on the PS3 side are exclusives, while many on the 360 side are multi-plats.

Have they ever definitively articulated what this 5 gigs of data is meant to do? I would be curious to know what exactly this does for the games performance. Though I don't see a 20 minute one time installation as a factor that should stop someone from buying the game if they like it, it is none the less strange to see other shooters that seem similar from other companies omit the lengthy installation process that Capcom seems so powerless to do without.

Though I don't and never did care for Halo's story or universe, kudos has got to be given to MS and to a greater degree Bungie for making such a genre defining series.
If it weren't for Halo, we might not have had a control scheme on consoles that work well for FPS, and thats a fact.
