Nothing that has been said justifies paying for Live thus far. A lot of the things touted as essentials really are only extras that don't add anything significant to the game play experience.
About the only argument that makes any sense and only slightly at that is that you have more friends on live and like playing with them.

I guess your referring to GT5P, it's a game that you can only dream about buddy, so don't even worry about it. Not to mention the fact that you don't have to buy Prolog if you don't want to, you do however have to pay for LIVE to get all the features, sorry to point that out to you.

There is not telling the things they are trying to do, CoD4 has been proven to use a lot of visual tricks to achieve it's frame rate, doesn't mean all developers are going to do that.

Martin just has different taste when it comes to story, the MGS series is like an epic novel, think Plato or Moby D!ck, while Martin prefers games with stories like Gears or Halo, more Nancy Drew or The Baby-Sitters Club type story content.
