There are various reasons that COD receives it criticism, and while all of them may not be totally true there is certainly one which holds fast whichever way you look at it.
Money
Activision is charging you more for what you would've paid less for in the past. Look at any of the major retailers, it frustrates me how they think that just because COD is popular that it warrants them being able to put the retail up by an extra £3.00! There has been a pr...
I hope they don't go back to the old style of doing things - sure keep the humour but I don't see how anyone can really get many kicks from hitting people with a giant dildo (unless your 12 or something I guess). Now that Saints Row has maintained itself and has filled that niche, if you want that style of gameplay by all means buy SRTT when it gets released and ignore GTA V.
As i've grown up I feel that GTA has grown up aswell, I prefer a deep and meaningful stor...
ouch...
I laughed though, hard xD
I've never seen my connection go above 400KB/s
Troll elsewhere elsewhere fool?
@Fishy Fingers
Spot on :)
I've pirated stuff and still do to this date, but I also have moral values when it comes to this and only do it when I can't find what i'm looking for or when, in my opinion, they make enough money ala COD.
It's not right, but in the end it comes to personal morals and restraint. I started torrenting Portal 2 but then cancelled the download deciding that Valve really do deserve the money for coming up...
wait... are you saying that naughty dog DON'T do everything right?

On PC Battlefield 3 is beating MW3 by miles, however with PS3 and 360 MW3 is in 1st while BF3 is in 2nd.
I thought New Vegas was fantastic :) While it didn't change the formula that much that's what I thought was so great about it, I loved fallout 3 and more of the same is great in my book.
The same does not apply to COD however...
Well duh
Considering PC gaming is mostly digital nowadays and anyone buying retail versions of a game can get it pretty much anywhere online - in terms of the PC market Steam is wayyyyy ahead.
Are you f**king serious? This is the 3rd one today and each day for the past month has seen a new article on this pop up...
That's because it's not of Skyrim... derp
More marketing Bulls**t
While it's obvious your joking, you can't deny that every call of duty has been a huge buggy mess upon release now can you?
enough with the dinosaurs already, we get the joke...
Haha, I love how people can jump to conclusions so easily :D (I'm agreeing with you btw thrasher)
Indeed, enough with the comparisons already.
4 of the maps in the article are going to be in the "Back to Karkand" expansion for people that pre-order the game.
That leaves 1 map (Operation Metro) that has been announced for the standard game so far...
Do you really think that Battlefield 3 is going to ship with just 1 MP map for people that don't pre-order? or are you really that stupid?
I don't know why I bother to correct people in BF3 articles, half of them have no...
Thing is that COD 'NEEDS' that many maps to seem like it offers a worthy MP component. COD maps are tiny compared to the size of the ones offered in the Battlefield series.
With COD your regularly in the same space when you play the same map so it can get boring much quicker than a BF map, as they are so much bigger. BF maps open up so many more tactics that the player can adopt whereas COD usual results in the player following the same route over and over again on a ...
...and now Activision is letting them have design control over the entire Multiplayer aspect of one of the highest earning Video Game franchise's in history...
