I find that the Assassins Creed series bore me aswell :( From the E3 presentation of the first game I thought that it would be a stealthy splinter-cell esc game where the player has really low health and has to avoid confrontations with lots of enemies. I thought I'd have to use the crowd mechanic to approach, execute and escape from enemies - along with utilising the possibilities of parkour to pull it off.
In the AC that was released however and the sequels thereafter t...
Well if you want something to happen consistently in a SP mission its going to have to be scripted isn't it?
If you want a plane to crash into the ground, so that the player has to go and rescue him as part of a mission - that is scripted.
If things weren't scripted, there would be no consistency - I mean, come on. Use your brain here.
The difference between MW3 and BF3 is that the majority of destruction in the BF3 is unscripted, whe...
Infamous 1 does give grey options, I can think of one particular moment towards the end involving the with Trish which is a grey option(not to spoil the story any further).
Maybe not as much as we would've liked, but they are there.
I think you'll find mine was the best part actually...
I liked the part where you said 'Skyrim'

Battlefield 3 and Skyrim are the 2 games i'm most definitely picking up day 1. Other than that, I'll have to wait and see..
They confirmed that there would be one disc for all versions
They confirmed that there would be one disc for all versions.
Well it blew people away because it was IW's first COD game following COD4 - the game that pretty much revolutionised the FPS genre. People expected, myself included, that MW2 would do the same again but it just didn't and gave us more of the same.
Tell me honestly, do you think from that single screenshot that it looks better than BF3? Just from looking at that single screenshot you can tell they took that rifle right out of BO, which just goes to show how little the...
I don't know why but that made me lol majorly. Maybe its because I imagined a hillbilly saying it.
Anyway, considering the entire story has already been leaked, why is this article even here?
I think any other year you would be right in assuming that, however this year we have so many great games in such a small time slot that people are going to prioritise these better games over COD. Such as:
Skyrim - new elder scrolls, 'nuff said
Battlefield 3 - Fully destructable maps, 64 player MP, 'nuff said
Uncharted 3 - 'nuff said
I think personally the size and scale of BF3 will be a balance to prone in itself, at least on the PC version anyway.
Think of it this way, instead of having 16 players per team observing the map and taking note of enemy positions we'll now have double that amount. This means more chance of snipers getting spotted and more chance of them getting taken out.
Same with map size, the larger map sizes will provide more opportunities to flank enemy snipers and ...
Stopped after MW2 too.
First time it really became noticeable that COD was on track to release every year and that it was being milked to hell.
That's not necessarily a good thing - you probably won't even know what you're doing in a certain place before your span off to another part of the globe.
100% Agree. As they said in one of the reviews for MW2 "it seems like they came up with a list of cool locales that they wanted to include, and then worried about the plot later"
Meh. *replays BF3 gameplay trailer*
I don't care, all I know is I'll be picking up my copy of BF3 on PC and staying well clear of the next COD - I don't even need to see gameplay to know it's going to be as bad as the last few.
The game looks brilliant, but I'm not sure whether I'm liking the new story and direction of the game. Its just certain things don't look as good imo, I don't really like the new warhawks and the fact that the 'blue stuff' creates the opposing faction in the game just kind of seems a bit weak to me :(
Loving the build aspect of it though, looks like it will really mix up the MP gameplay. Always leaning to the 'play, create, share' mantra ey Son...
Even though it's fake, that pic still looks pretty damn good.
