haha, "OFF THE CHAIN!"
@NobleGamer
That's not very noble...
lol wut? GTA IV was huge - much more fun to drive around than miles of desert.
Even if we can't mods will make it so we can :) It's not that I want to spend all my time in Skyrim killing said children, I'd just like to have the freedom to do so if I so wish.
After all isn't that what the ES series has always been about? freedom of choice?
Personally I think what EA are doing is quite fair, pre-order the game and get 4 extra maps to play. However, this is all providing they eventually make the maps available to all people who buy the game, after a few months or so.
Everyone get's the same game in the end, just the people that pre-order get privileges because they did so.
It's technically not an expansion, more of an incentive to pre-order I'd say.
Besides, anyone who doesn't pre-order the game is nuts anyway.
I can't even predict what will be this years GOTY... there's just too many good games coming out to call it.
How can you say GTA was milked? If Rockstar decide to announce a new game this year it will still probably only leave us with a fall 2012 release date and that would be over 4 years since GTA IV. If you go saying that the expansion packs were milking then that's just plain wrong considering the amount of content we got from them both.
lol wut?
I know right? This has taken way too long.
1.) You ask me whether I played the game all the way through, then you form it into fact by saying how I don't know the basic storyline details? You jump the gun too much.
2.) I have played Fallout 3 twice through and all of the expansions; don't go telling me I didn't play the game enough and that I didn't follow the story.
3.) Please try and type your sentences better, I found it really hard to follow what you were saying while ignoring yo...
YES! If they took it back to COD4 with the 3 simple killstreaks and new down-to-earth maps with more weapons I would buy it in a heartbeat. They built up a really good story with COD4 then they just completely butchered it for MW2, that was one of the biggest disappointments for me imo.
I'm of the same opinion actually. The post-apocalyptic setting just didn't really draw me in as Oblivion did when I first played it.
Oblivion kept me immersed for hours upon hours, Fallout... while it was a truly amazing game and I can easily grasp why people found it so good, I just didn't get the same feeling from it as with Oblivion.
I think personally i'm more into fantasy RPG's as there's always more scope for variety in fantasy ...
I think now that BF3 is releasing at the same time (MW3's bound to get released in November) people aren't going to simply pick it up just because there's nothing else good being released then. There are so many great games being released then that I know I won't find any reason to pick up the game, not that I would if there wasn't anyway.
@Urrakia - note he said 'at launch'. What is the point in buying a console at launch when it takes this long for the generation to really get into its stride? Why not buy a PC with that kind of money where you'll have access to a huge game library; then buy a console further down the road when good games have been released for it and the kinks have been worked out? A perfectly sound approach imo.
haha +bubble for making me laugh
I don't care
Two Words:
lol, wut?
Of course they're revolutionising the formula! Have you even played the Bad Company series? Maybe you could argue the earlier games weren't doing so but the most recent titles certainly have done. Also sure BF3 could suck but they can't afford to put out a bad game as they're trying to take on the current king of the FPS genre: COD.
Besides, from what's been detailed and what i've seen already you don't need to be a psychic to know that BF3 will tr...
"The only DLC we have announced now is the “Back to Karkand” pack that includes re-made maps, Weapons and Vehicles from Battlefield 2."
I wasn't aware that it would include vehicles and weapons from BF2 aswell? Even more of a reason for me to get my pre-order down.
