Welcome to last year, Mr. Mike Vorhaus!
I Agree. Even if you think this game has delivered pretty well, it's launching in a season that will include Halo 3 and Bioshock and Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros, among others. While this is an important title for the PS3, it's really a drop in the bucket compared to the slow of more notable titles coming out this year. It'll be a classic case of a solid 9/10 game being blown away in a season when 10/10 is going to get tossed around quite a bit.
Agree'd. Are they just shoveling this out now? That would be a major disappointment.
Was the source of this article, by chance, majornelson?
Because he basically said all of that on his show yesterday.
Again:
BioWare debunks CVG's rumor: "Sorry, but that is just untrue."
Sony's history with formats:
-MiniDisc: Phail (overpriced, no one could see any real advantage of using it)
-BetaMAX: Phail (overpriced, no one could see any real advantage of using it)
-UMD: Phail (overpriced, no one could see any real advantage of using it)
The only time they've ever won when they bet on a format was DVD, because DVD was a massively superior format that got over VHS's issue with degrading quality with repeated playback (read: eating tapes...
The big problem is that Sony's been caught paying people to post information before. Anyone remember the "AllIWantForChristmasIsAP SP.com" fiasco, for instance?
Claim it's a conspiracy, claim this is just hate...
But umm...
They've done this before...
And been caught.
How can you say this isn't something they'd do?
Because they have.
"Gameplay is kind of hard to judge without an actual controller in your hands, so I'm going to reserve judgment on that."
[/end]
For anyone still clueless, Sony has been busted installed rootkits in this exact manner SEVERAL times at this point. There was a massive fiasco where they were trying to get their rootkit installed on ALL of their CDs and only massive gnashing of teeth by the public stopped them.
It'd be fine to blame it on the dev if this wasn't a pattern for Sony.
The problem is that Americans really DO think like that. A conversation I had many times at Gamestop:
Me: "Just so you know, your 8-year-old-son has picked a game that's rated Mature for Sex, Drugs, and Violence."
Mother: "But does it have nudity in it?"
Me: "...I don't think you understand. You can hire prostitutes, and then kill them to get your money back. You can also kill police officers, and it's very bloody, and-"
Mother...
One time I'm glad a game isn't on 360.
I can just see the massive resell market of people looking to get easy gamerpoint by setting the board on their lap and using their hands to rack up massive scores. Heh.
When's Sony ever goign to replace all the faulty disc drives on first-run PS1 and PS2? Pot, meet kettle.
Also: Halo 3 = now. Virtually all of those PS3 titles = later than Halo, or into next year. I like playing games, not setting around and hoping for them.
That's sarcasm, right?

In case you didn't notice, the shots that look like real people, that's actually a real person playing the game. The shots that look like the original Virtua Fighter, that's the actual game.
That's why it's called Epsilon, right? lol.
Seriously, though, per Kotaku's story on this issue, there was even an internal "delta" test, and that wasn't at all public.
This likely isn't "final" playtesting, though I'm sure they are looking at potential release candidates.
Yeah! I mean all they've shown from SP has been some screens, the e3 video, all of the playthroughs for all the media outlets that have even let people get hands-on time with the first THREE levels at this point, and now the Epsilon playthrough that tons of media outlets are getting to play and pass information from (at least to the extent the inevitable NDA allows).
And all of the revealed details, like new weapons inluding Flamethrower and Firebomb, the Elephant and other new...
And since a bunch of people seem to have missed it...
ALL public showing of GTAIV have all been developed and run on Xbox 360 exclusively, verified by both MS and R* (you can hear it during the e3 conference, in fact).
"This is NOT an attempt at price gouging with the Halo 3 release, but they ARE charging more than suggested MSRP for some 360 (and other) accessories."
So it's not price gouging for the Halo 3 release.
It's just straight-up price gouging.
Nice.
Thread title:
"BBC calls Killzone 2 'most cinematic and immersive game ever..."
Article:
"Killzone 2 will be one of the most cinematic and immersive games..."
Misleading thread titles and clear fanboyism FTW!
Welcome to n4g, everyone.
More important question: Who is the hot chick posing as Cortana in the included image? I'd try to look for information from the slide show... but I'd rather kill myself than look at all these "BALL-UUUHHHZ!!!" and "GANG-STAZZZ!!!". Rolleyes.
