Console gaming is cool man. But its just too expensive.
Lol naa it isnt.. The superior PC version was on sale on Steam at 7.5USD rofl.
20usd for a lesser version suddenly looks expensive.
@AKS
Console gaming just is expensive Steam and the rest of the DD networked have proved that time and time again.
People disagreeing are just fanboys.
yep love to pick it up but gonna wait until its dirt cheap on Steam or D2D.
@cemelc
Sorry but i found Killzone rather boring and extremely linear.
Crysis on the other hand is a different FPS. And no you are wrong 4 year old hardware can play Crysis in 1080p in high settings (which still look better then Killzone graphics). To play Crysis in extreme settings you would need a 150-200$ gpu max thats it.
Yep PC is the way to go for this one. Just like all the multiplats.
No point paying so much extra for the console versions.
@the_only_lol_king
The only game to compete with Crysis 1 running in ultra settings is metro 2033.
Nothing else comes close.
Yep many good RPGs coming up to get hyped for. Personally cant wait for Witcher 2.
If your PC can run Left4dead at max settings then this uses the same engine. It should run fine. I would say save the 10-15usd and get the PC version. PS3 version probably wont be running above 720p anyways.
Listed as 18th April on Steam. Cant wait for this one.
Yet people will still buy the next COD in hordes, just sad.
For an MP game Badcompany 2 was the best looking FPS out this year specially on the PC running at max settings.
For SP i think the sleeper hit of the year is easily Metro 2033, the game just didnt receive the hype it should have. Even in DX10 the game running in max settings easily looks better then anything out this year, Even gives Crysis a run for its money.
I get most of my games from Steam or D2D these days depending on who has the better offers. Most games 2-3 months after release can be had very cheaply like between 10-20usd. Which can result in a huge saving.
Retail pretty much cant compete.
Laracroft was available on Steam yesterday for 5USD if you own another tombraider game then it was 3.6usd. Microsoft need to get competitive.
Console gaming is just too expensive.
Thats because most Console version of games only run at 720p or sometimes below. There are hardly 5% of games that run in 1080p.
@Substance101
I remember having gotten this game on Steam for about 13usd on the last discount. True game savings on PC can be crazy.
Happy i didnt wait for the PS3 version.
@guitar_nerd
If you are talking performance to $ PC will still win. To outperform PS3 or Xbox 360 a 500usd PC is more then enough. Remember the PC is just not playing games, its there for doing alot more. Add in the fact games are alot cheaper on PC. PC easily wins the cost comparison.
A single 5870 is more then enough to give you a much better experience then whatever a PS3 can do, upgrading to a second 5870 is a choice which is given to you and should b...
@Guitar_nerd
Lets talk real world here, Equip a I7 930 with a 2-3 year old midrange GPU and watch the system run almost any game in 1080p. How much % of ps3 games run in 1080p? 5% maybe? even while running at 720p they run at a rediculously low 30fps not amazng by any standard.
Someone needs to check out Steam or Direct2drive more often. Bestbuy Or EB games would then look like a rip off and thats not even considering the holidays, count those in and there really is no comparison.
"$10 is hard to beat!! "
Not really, Steam had it for 5USD this sale.
