Check out CSS, TF2, L4D2 all of them have lasted way beyond few months.

Yes things are different on console though where everyone rushes to the next rehashed game. The only game that is repeatedly played is COD or Halo.

Agreed, PS3 today would get surpassed by a 80USD GPU multiple times. Even if nintendo tries to deliberately butcher the next wii it should still be more powerful then the current HD consoles.

No excuse why a New console roling out at 250-300usd shouldnt 4-5times more powerful then the PS3 or Xbox 360.

It wont change anything, unless more games start coming to PS3 with Steamworks. A single portal 2 being with Steam works wont do anything.

Though it would be interesting to see Sony makes a push and releases its games on PS3 and PC and use Steamworks while they are at it.

lol yea.

got it off steam for 40usd.

@M_D

True lol who would like to play the game on PS3 running at 720p 30fps little to no AA, when on PC it can be running maxed out even on 3-4 year old hardware.

Heaven forbid if it was a playstation game that was still being played since 2004 you and the rest of the fanboys on this site would have been orgasming all over it.

Too bad they take away or close down support for consoles so you jump to their next game lol.

@ATIelite

True Crysis 1 was a must have game for any PC gamer, if not to play then to test their newly bought hardware on. Crysis 2 is not that game.

Moreover Crysis 2 has lost what made Crysis unique, large open world. Its strictly a COD clone now with corridor type gameplay. I will pick it up when its 10-20usd on a Steam discount.

1.Graphics are superior,

2.Hardware much superior to console costs just a bit more. Console costs 300usd, PC costs about 600usd.

3.Software on PC is much cheaper and drops in price much quicker too.

4. Flexibility- PC has Mods, can use multiple controllers (ds3, 360 controller, kb mouse etc).

5. PC gets full backward compatibility.

Overall PC is cheaper and superior to game on for any serious gamer....

Still its as if they bought the game 2x to catch up to PC gamers lol, whats funny they arent even sure if these hd remakes will work on the next box, at which point they might have to buy the game 3rd time. Console gaming sure is cheap lol.

5441d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Thats because imagine the uproar when console gamers dont see a difference and some of them actually remove the fanboy blinds and discover they actually had to buy the game twice just to catch up with PC version.

"Tom Clancy Splinter Cell games remastered in HD, and is exclusive to the PlayStation 3. "

Unless the redid the textures on these, PC version was HD way back when they were releasd. Console gamers just only caught up.

Also its funny they say console gaming is cheap when i would imagine the person who orignally bought it on PC can still play his copy upgraded in full 1080p for free. Anyone who bought it for PS2 now cant play the game on the PS3 a...

I was refering to most game releases when i said lower price. Most games are released on the same time on the PC as on console and are cheaper.

I dont own a console and dont intend to either, RDR was the only game out on console last year which i liked, if it does come to PC i will be buying it day one. However to buy a console just for that 1-2 good games a year release is out of the question.

"The Steam version isn't bad at all featuring the best graphics of all, but the PS3 version is best for multiplayer."

How is the PS3 version best for mutiplayer? Steam actually has better communition features(cross game chat, textchat), better graphics, dont know about the price but Steam version is at 8.99usd.

5442d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

RDR was about the only good exclusive consoles did receive last year. If that makes it across to PC sure console gamers will be butthurt. Specially since most games are multiplat and even dated PCs run them better then consoles while console gamers pay more for the game.

Id be butthurt too if i was paying more for every game then getting a lesser copy, fortunately its everyones choice which position they put themselves in.

Cant expect much from 256mb of video ram and a BEYOND ancient GPU.

Next up PS3 fans will be comparing PS3 Crysis 1 with PC, then trying to convince each other there hardly are any differences.

COD gets awarded GOTY by various sites, yet people claim its a rehash and is garbage. I wonder how much Activision pays for those reviews.

Console gaming is about captilism companies like Sony and Microsoft spend in millions to get those shinies awards for their marketing. There is no such thing happening on PC since its an open platform.

5443d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Naa its the other way about, let us know any FPS on console that actually has people playing it after the first few weeks asides COD or Halo.

Console gamers constantly playing COD or Halo for their MP shows they dont have much else to play. Since most of the people on this site are Sony fans they can go check their beloved KZ3 which is essentially dead now lol.

On PC u will see people playing a wide veriety of games.

Can they

Burn Dvds?
Encode videos?
Browse the web decently?

Or even play games that were released for the predecessor?

Lol does it really matter which console trumps which console both already have a good base and will be supported.
