I downloaded the trailer and both kids (11,6) were pretty excited....
I don't know if it will have enough content to keep them interested though. It's really cool tech and I'll prolly rent it just to check it out.

@gnothe1
I have a PC with PS3 Media Server installed that can and does stream netflix and many other video//audio streams right to the PS3.
It may not have all the built in features of the xbox's interface, but I can and do watch streaming netflix movies and on-demand content through the PS3.

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought about was trying it out....
I mean I can easily back up and restore my hard-drive, but I'm strange like that and I don't think I want to miss playing a game like this.
-CadDad
This is very good news for me as I loved the first one and have a major chubby for the 2nd!
-CadDad
...that the devs are out of touch with the playerbase, but the author also missed a few glaring issues that I had when I was playing.
I was also a long-time DAoC player that didn't get anything out of WAR but a few months of the experience.
The biggest and most glaring problem is the repetition and imbalance of RVR. If I put the class imbalance issues (glaring) aside and focus on the RVR aspect of the game I'm left with 4 nearly identical tiers of bottlenecking. Th...
I think he means Gran Turismo.... I agree, which is why I didn't buy GT Prologue.

I'd have to agree that LBP shouldn't be on there.
I would add Bioshock on there instead. It was a fantastic game (yes, I have the platinum), but it wasn't perfect (few if any are) and it sure got a LOT of perfect scores and the internet nearly imploded with fanboyism when it was released.

Maybe that's what the student was trying to do and the damned burlger just failed at living through it. (poor taste for sure)

I played mass effect and left for dead, but I don't own a 360. ;)
I hate to be a bother pointing that out, but the word exclusive has a very specific definition.
-CadDad
I've been trying to justify purchasing a 360 for a couple years now. If I could find 10 games I want to play that I can't get anywhere else I'd go buy one right now.
Having them all is a foregone conclusion for me, since I collect. As it stands right now though, the PS3//PC combo I have keeps me plenty occupied.

I've replayed a few I enjoyed the first time for the trophies actually. Uncharted and Burnout to be specific.

:D

I agree with you. Trophies are not the reason I play games, but they certainly have helped increase a game's longevity for me. I've certainly put games I didn't enjoy down, even if there were more trophies to be had, but I've also kept playing a game a little too long because I was so close to the platinum. Something to work for, something extra and fun.
I've got a few college buddies that have PS3's and we have found that trophies are a good way to rib each other on games we ...

Works really well, from the most common OS's.
1. Install server on computer and share a folder.
2. Place media in folder.
3. Watch media on PS3.
I haven't had a single file that didn't work this way. I've even browsed zip file archives of photos and it streams a thumbnail from the zips. Pretty cool.

I got a little sick to my stomach when I read that and realized I've done most of the same things....
6 plats and counting! I know it's weak, but I'm old and not ashamed. ;)
-CadDad
I have netflix (and every other video and audio stream) capability on my PS3. It's a little more work than on the xbox, but I don't need windows to do it. (I use a linux media server) It works on mac, windows, and linux.
-CadDad
He can't dis the PS3, the owners are voting age you know.
(kidding guys, relax)
-CadDad
Yep.

...when there are what...a little over a hundred choices to begin with?
Isn't that a little ridiculous to begin with?
My top 10.

IMO of course, new systems are too fresh in my mind to really count. Hell right now I'd put them 1, 2, and 3 for sake of OMG wha...
That's no laughing matter!
