His point = web hits. I missed the first article, but I'm struggling to come up with a reason to write this one other than gaining more hits.
Of course some people will like a game more than others.
Of course some of the readers of his review will 'have' to respond in that manner.
Is this his first trip out on the interwebz?
I'd like my 5 mins back please!

.......I have to get this day 1.
I have high hopes for it, and even if it turns out terrible I have to be there for the release and the FOR SURE chaos of it all.
-CadDad
Two thumbs up.
-CadDad
I agree, too often anymore it's all about the milking.
*EDIT* I'm actually going to go in today and cancel my pre-order. I'll wait for the GOTY edition in a year or so. I want to play the game, but the game won't be any less good with another year to wait. :)

I put over 200 hours into demon's souls before I platinum'd it and could relax enough to put anything else in my PS3, including movies.
It gets my vote, in a landslide.
-CadDad
What level are you? If I'm in the +/- 10 level range, I'll let you hold my weapon! I ran that skeleton over 1500 times, hate to see someone else do the same.
-CadDad
For me, multi-player is rarely if ever the selling point on a game.
I'd rather have a longer SP campaign or more co-op things.
I'll play MP games, but rarely outside my small group of friends. Co-op and open world games like burnout are where I spend most of my MP time. Deathmatch shooters with /random people get old really fast for me.
-CadDad
I agree, the recommendations were still mostly Teen rating games.

I hope by "all data" they mean *all* data. A month or so ago my PS3 went down with a blown power supply and I had to get it fixed, losing all my demon's souls data in the process (saves not able to be backed up, much like Killzone). (~140 hours of playtime) I've since played the game enough now to not matter but I hope this fix will save others from sharing that fate.
-CadDad
I agree that they are so similar it's a wash, and I only have a PS3.
I am a trophy whore as well, but only on the games that interest me. If a game interests me I'll go for the plat, but if I don't care for it, I might not even finish it, and my PSN profile reflects that well.
I did notice, and I'm probably not the only Trophy Whore out there that did, is that he's got an awful low plat total for his level and number of trophies. I have under 600 trophies total, an...
@ blacksmoke
PM me with the stunts you are struggling with. I had a heck of a time with a few of them until I figured out a few tricks to getting them right. Probably common knowledge, but I thought I was special when I got some of them to work consistently. I'd be glad to pass along what I know.
-CadDad
I'd include the DS bosses as well. I haven't been that intimidated by a boss fight in a long, long time.
-CadDad
Unless it's my brother or a few of my college friends, I won't use it at all. Call me anti-social, but there are few if any people I want to chat with all the time. Hell I don't even want to chat with my wife all the time. ;)

Agreed, the only knock I have on the game is the grind for the pure bladestone trophy. It completely misses the scope of the rest of the game and should not have been included.
I could see them adding in some super-beast black phantom mob that it drops from. (5-2 big sword black phantom perhaps) but to just put in a mindless grind over and over small percentage drop item for the last trophy most will need is silly and detracts (ever so slightly) from an otherwise pristine game....
Great game.
-CadDad
.....on play 3 currently!
-CadDad
I'm also the dad, and I try to figure out a way to keep my kids off my PS3.
-CadDad
I've put in 150+ hours into Demon's Souls since Oct 6th.... That's as much time as I've spent at work. /boggle
My NFL watching is even suffering!
-CadDad
....well Uncharted 2 is sitting (not for long), and Demon's souls is spinning. (85 hours in already) :o

@ ForRome
I could argue that your point is in fact a strength of Sony's and one of the reasons they've been so successful over the years.
While the use of mics and online games are good at times, the majority of console gamers, myself included, want to play lots of different games, not the same one over and over for years. I want games that blast my senses and leave me breathless, but also have a real ending so I can play something else only to get blasted again! <...
