My favorite multi-player games this gen have been non-shooters like.....
Demon's Souls
Burnout Paradise
Eye of Judgement
Shooters can be fun, but I usually stick to the single player or co-op (U2, R2) modes because I really can't handle teenagers screaming in my ear for hours at a time, I get enough of that with my 12 year old daughter.

What exactly did MAG change? I'm curious, because I saw nothing dramatically different from spawn, kill, die, rinse, repeat, like I've had in games for 15 years. Admittedly, I only played MAG for 30 hours in the first week it was out before I quit.

Since I collect games to play the greatest hits label doesn't bother me in the least. I understand the interest in collecting the originals for some collectors though.

Bioshock was far and away superior on the PC, so technically the 'crappy' 360 port that came out at the same time would fall under the 'you actually bought that?' category as well.
The PS3 version of Bioshock was just under if not equal to the 360 one (according to most review sources).

So much agree....

180 new employed tax-payers is 180 new employed taxpayers. If Sony's move is sustainable and long term, the community will be glad (and smart) to have done it. Besides, whoever they hire *is* officially Georgian. ;)
-CadDad
Let them hire as they see fit is the key thing here.
If any of you had a business and had certain employee types in mind, you'd want the freedom and opportunity to hire who you wanted. Whether or not they miss out on someone qualified or not is beside the point. The point of being free to hire who you want shouldn't be lost.
Georgia wins no matter what. If they hire 180 people from anywhere, that's 180 new Georgia taxpayers and employed citizen...
Well, anyone that has kids know that they sneak out to watch any game any chance they get, especially if the kids are into video games.
Even my daughter (12) who isn't really into video games, will sit and watch whatever I'm playing just to watch. Kids do these things, so the guy has a point, even if he wrote it to sound like what you're saying.
I'm not defending the guy, hell I try my damnedest to keep my kids from seeing mature content, but...
It's a classic for me, guaranteed. A game I'll treasure always and return to often. I've got more games than I know what to do with, but I'd be heartbroken if I somehow couldn't play this one ever again.

I owned Fallout 3 and purchased the GOTY just so I didn't have to worry about having just digital copies years from now.
It's a game I know I'll be back to play at some point, so it makes super sense in that regard.
Digital downloads are great for things without long-term replay value, or quick little mini-games and such.
-CadDad
Agreed. I'll add that for most people it's a combination of things.
People used to buy consoles for the games when that's all they could do, much the same as people used to buy cell-phones for the ability to talk on the go.
Now look at all the different reasons to own cool new tech.
-CadDad
It should at least be a serious consideration, at least it was for me. I have one now after putting it off for years, but I'm still nervous.
Anyone purchasing anything of significant cost should check into the reliability of the product. It's common sense for a consumer.
Does it make it a bad buy? I would argue that it's subjective to the person. I knew as much as any average consumer could possibly know about the history of the box prior to m...
All I could do from the moment I first started Demon's souls was play it. I accomplished that and more. Loved the game, and have about 250 hours logged on it.
Looking forward to a follow-up, but I'll be disappointed if they dumb it down.
This guy needs to put it down now, only bad things will be written by him if he continues. The very beginning of the article was enough for me to realize he wasn't up to the task....complaining about a system ...
Ha ha.
Took my tired brain a sec too!

Bobdog:
There are only so many options here for why the game could be different from console to console.
1. Laziness with regards to giving equal experience for equal dollar.
2. Lack of ability to make the same game on both systems.
3. Lack of investment capital//time.
We know Rockstar makes good quality games, so the ability is there, and we know they have a ton of cash and resources to develop games, so that leaves the la...
I'm thinking about doing the same. I'm also thinking of just passing on it because I have an unnatural dislike for laziness. :/
-CadDad
I said nothing of the score or what it deserved. I was merely commenting on Trey's ridiculous assumption that people didn't enjoy it because they weren't "old enough".
I leave the ridiculousness of 'scores' to reviewers.
-CadDad
Exactly. I started to read, hit the first spoiler and needed to stop.
:(
-CadDad
Put in an 'easy mode' but don't allow a single trophy to be earned by playing on it.
Problem solved.
I say this because my son has zero chance to play Demon's Souls in it's current state. He just can't go anywhere or do anything, he's not good enough. He and others like him shouldn't be robbed of the experience.
-CadDad
It's a lot harder over the internet than it is in real life. My intentions/meaning get mistaken quite often through text and the major problem with past experiences in text is that you could be reading it wrong every time without really knowing.
Text can usually be taken at least two ways.
