personally i buy a lot of games physical at online retailers for better deals, digital deals are great much further down the line, so i'd probably prefer the disc version as a physical collection allows me to share, trade in/re-sell any of the games i get.

I find it funny that a massive selling point of the PS4 was the fact they kept things physical and originally the Xbox was online only, so it's interesting to see how perspectives have changed.

@Shaggy2304

Absolutely right, what Cornelis is describing is very much what Divinity Original Sin (and a fair amount of the other Divinity games were) and they're big fans of D&D and are trying to really add those elements to the franchise, if anything BG3 will be more like D&D than the previous games ironically, just because the game is similar in *look* to DOS games, does not mean it will be like them.

That said when i was younger i did like...

While i agree that frame rate is better than graphics *to a point* i also think you're conflating the point Sam was making into something pretty ridiculous, nobody mentioned Sekiro to begin with and the only developer bloating their file sizes are Infinity Ward and that's for a whole different set of reasons.

Just to clarify my thoughts, Sekiro is amazing, and considering the game itself the file size is a great representation of what a focused and more linear game ...

CDPR have mentioned a lot thus far that the lighting systems at play are what really elevate the game into next gen territory too- reflections in this bright city are gonna be incredibly important to that immersion no less.

It's not like we get to see a full representation of ourselves until we look at those reflections and see pictures for example, why care about your appearance then? if you follow the logic some people are taking.

As usual Ubisoft seem completely devoid of creativity- if you've seen the For Honor documentary you can see that all the creative talent they do/did have they end up ousting over the course of their projects to make something so risk-free they might as well be copying and pasting their games, it's such a sad sight to see.

The furthest thing from a hit in the series. classic KT.

The Ascent already had plenty of actual gameplay in the presentation where AC had none so..

Sekiro is FromSoftware's best work in my opinion at least- once you get the hang of the combat i don't think any other game is as satisfying from a gameplay standpoint, you can absolutely compare all the games but calling it a "clone" is a huge disservice to just how different a game it felt.

Nioh is great but its focus is more like a looter game mixed with souls, a gross simplification but for example's sake- it works, what is key with these games how...

So you got your money's worth after getting to GS 500, probably far more hours than most games, nevermind of it's same type- this dlc is going to give you more to do; no gripes needed.

All year one stuff would be free, they stated nothing major for the first year DLC wise anyway- why people are complaining about free content for an entire year is beyond me.

I'd be perfectly okay with some kinda co-op personally.

Just a psa that Disco Elysium deserves a look, it's possibly the most incredibly written and detailed isometric rpg out there to date. it might not be to everyone's tastes but if you're a fan of Planescape, BG and so forth you need to give it a shot at some point- it's satisfying to see it got a couple nominations.

Definitely has the best soundtrack, Sekiro was my favourite this year, FromSoftware made that combat feel so incredibly satisfying, along with a focused narrative and visual design that fit so well.

I read an article recently that cited Obsidian are working on multiple rpg's right now, so that's positive at least.

running off an SSD on PC it's only a few seconds for me at least, which is very helpful for the higher difficulties ^^'

And the game is pretty solid on PC and my hardware is 4-5 years old overall.
it doesn't have to blow us away really- It's refreshing that it's what it is, by EA no less, competent storytelling too.

I think it's important to note that the budget for the Outer Worlds is pretty far from most AAA games, i agree it seems like it just doesn't have a lot of that soft padding that makes you wanna spend every waking minute in the world, that it's very competent and everything has a clear purpose, feeling much like an older, more traditional rpg.

Absolutely, most enhancements are just upscaled 4k or slightly better framerate. my Pro tends to have more issues than positives compared to a regular ps4 even.

Can you imagine Bloodborne at 60fps though? that thought has been on my mind since i played it.
